NEW EDITION IN CONCERT:
Style and charisma never go out of fashion, and legendary R&B group New Edition is a case in point. Paving the way for the boy band movement of the '80s and '90s with their meticulously coordinated image and tight vocal interplay, Bobby Brown and company continue to be the stuff of teen dreams, bringing audiences to their feet for a trip down memory lane at their dazzling live shows. Reunited (and it feels so good, ) the band's six original members hit the road in 2014 for a much-anticipated tour, treating fans to their finely-tailored threads and hits like "Candy Girl" and "Cool It Down."
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Formed in Boston in 1978, New Edition hit the big time with their 1983 debut album Candy Girl, landing three singles on the charts and becoming an overnight sensation with their boyish charm and carefully crafted image. Their self-titled 1984 sophomore album was an even bigger hit, topping the R&B chart on the strength of era classics like "Cool It Now" and "Mr. Telephone Man." The band's success in the mid-'80s was so considerable that it launched Bobby Brown to solo career stardom, with several other members finding success as spinoff group Bell Biv DeVoe in the '90s. Over the years New Edition has released seven studio albums, weathering hiatuses and reunions, but have rarely been joined by Brown in concert, making his presence on their 2014 tour all the more special.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"New Edition was on last and I had been waiting all day. They did not disappoint. It was so good seeing them live. They looked great and performed songs from each phase of their careers."
"It was the best concert ever. They still look the same and they still could move. It was just like when i was younger and I saw them. I felt like a teenager."
"I knew this was going to be good and it truly was!!! New Edition has never let me down. Back in the day they were terrific and they still are. They are true entertainers!"
3/8 show was phenomenal as the fellas never disappoint. Tried to get tixs to another show but they were all sold out. Wishing them nothing but the best.
The event was awesome the seats were small for a full figured person and so the people around me were complaining about how tight the seat was but most people stood up and was dancing the entire concert
I really can’t put into words how much of a fan I am. Born in ‘82 and been on every tour since ‘86. I was in Vegas last week, and I’ll be there in July and October. I’ll be everywhere they go💙
This was one of the best concerts I been to recently. They sounded and looked great, did all the songs we know and then some, and the way BBD were backing everyone else up was amazing.
NE NEVER disappoints!! LONG overdue residency was LONG overdue. Show was AMAZING!!! ALL of them were AWESOME and looked FANTASTIC!!😍 (Especially my fave Bobby!!😍) As a NE fan since I was 13 (54 now), I’m in AWE of how they just get better with time. I went to the Culture tour in ‘22 and the Legacy tour in ‘23, multiple times and this Vegas show still had surprises! NE has proven they have staying power and LIFELONG fans!!❤️
Voices perfectly songs, precise steps. What more could one ask.
New Edition still has it. I am looking forward to seeing them again in July.
I’m much older than the typical fan. I was in Vegas for family business and Adele flaked on us, but I have always wanted to see NE. They always bring the energy on TV, and I have a cousin who is a die hard fan. Goes wherever they go- so why not. Not only did they not disappoint, but one of the best shows I have ever seen. The venue should $tep up the production and let it be more Vegas glitz and glam. Also, many more dates. The fans will come. Five stars.
Awesome show and a lot of fun. I hope to see them again this year.
I really enjoyed the concert. Those guys really deserve this recognition and opportunity.
I am truly a NE4lifer! I cannot count the number of New Edition concerts I have attended, but my first one was in Chicago in 1988 when Bobby performed as a solo act. I have waited for a New Edition Vegas residency for at least a decade, and my favorite group did not disappoint. Every member of NE had their time to shine during this show. The choreography, clothes, dancers, and background images were on point. Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph, and Johnny looked and sounded amazing! I enjoyed the new material which was tributes to other legendary groups. My only wish is that someone in the NE camp grants me the opportunity to return in July as a birthday gift. GO TO SEE NEW EDITION this summer!
My guys always do their thing. I’m a NE4LIFER. The show was so amazing. It was my first time to Vegas and I was celebrating my birthday. This was the best birthday seeing my faves rock that stage and I got the chance to meet all six this time 💚
I was thoroughly impressed with everything about this concert. I am a NE super fan.
NE out on a great show. Bobby out in work. This did a great job
Excellent show. I love that they did an opening tribute to the Jackson 5. It was amazing.
Another amazing New Edition concert! Really hoping this becomes a 6 month or year long residency, because I will definitely be back.
I thoroughly enjoyed this concert! The performance was AMAZING and the music is so timeless! We were on our feet the entire time! I loved how they incorporated all of the groups individual artist performances! I did not want this concert to end! I would definitely attend again! I highly recommend this concert!
From beginning to end, New Edition gave a stellar show! The singing, the dancing, the energy, the costumes/outfits, & the stage set were perfect 10’s across the board! I have been waiting for them to do a Vegas residency and they did not disappoint! Every NE fan should make an effort to see this show! Thank You NE! #NE4LIFE! 🫶🏾
New Edition's show is a must see!! It was high energy from beginning to the end. You would never know they were in their 50s. They have been together for 40 years and the love and respect they have for one another is apparent. If you get the change go see this show-You won't regret it.
I’ve seen New Edition multiple times, but I must say. This was the best! Concert! Ever! I was up on my feet the whole entire time. It was truly phenomenal. I am planning to see them again in July. Seeing them never gets old.
