Awesome As Hell!!!!
by S. B. on 4/11/22If I could see this show every year the rest of my life I would be down. I was introduced to The Gap Band by my family as a little girl growing up in the 70s being exposed to all kinds of music. New Edition was my first boy group of my time that I have followed since 10 or 11 and being my first concert at 12. I don’t care how much Charlie ages he seems to get better. He has had such a rough life going through the drugs, homelessness, deaths of his brothers, cancer, his testimony is so similar to Bobby’s, just different decades and times happening. I would imagine him being on tour with him is such a learning experience to be around someone who has had a similar path and came out a stronger man. Bobby was the bad boy, the exciting one, you wanted to see what he would do, no different than your David Ruffin or Steven Tyler, you wanted to save them from themself. I had seen the previous reviews of him not performing well and also been the victim of paying to see him and him not showing, but I still came with hopes he was gonna be there and be able to perform. I was so happy and near tears when he did all the dances and sang all the songs with minimal issues. They have such a lot set and extensive catalogue, he would have plenty time to rest and take a break during the other guys sets. I was totally pleased and glad I got to see Jodeci for my first time, I have seen the others before and I was pleased with them as well. I loved them in the 90’s when boy bands were plentiful and I love those church bread voices because there are none like them. KC didn’t let me down, you can tell he is in a better place and left lots of his vices behind, it showed in his voice. Fanfingtabulous show!
