The first act was too long. The sound level was too loud..... The story concept was interesting and the music and lyrics were uplifting and appropriate.

Best smart comedy of the century!

by SophiaCopeland on 8/19/18DR2 - New York

This funny and clever comedy really caught me by surprise on many of it's reflections and dialogues. Different from most comedies, the caracteres learn and evolve, giving the audience a tip about what it means to grow up and become responsible for your own insecurities, without missing a single joke :-D

    Neurosis

    by Theatergoer481 on 8/14/18DR2 - New York

I loved the show! It captures some of the concerns of a stage of life beautifully, with great wit and style. It manages to be sympathetic with the characters at the same time it pokes fun at them. And the lyrics are consistently remarkably funny and poignant. The production does a great job of making it possible to catch the wit without drawing undue attention to it. And the central conceit (we are all struggling with our "others"--in this case our neuroses--is more convincing on stage than I imagined in advance. Go see it!

Neurosis the musical was REALLY funny!

    by Reno55 on 7/30/18DR2 - New York

I generally really like going to Broadway musicals, but rarely go to off-broadway musicals and I only went to this one because the title made it sound quirky and the tickers were relatively cheap.. And it was really great. I've been to the DR theater before and it's small. Maybe it holds a hundred, but the experience was fantastic. The music was good, the set design and lighting were really good, the story (book) was fantastic, the 3 piece band was great but the best part of all was just how funny this musical was.I don't think I've EVER been to a funnier musical and I've been to a lot of musicals. I do hope this makes it to Broadway. My brother saw Hamilton off-broadway, so the only way we can EVER get even is for this to be a smash hit. (BTW, Tender Greens, my favorite California eatery just opened a NY location just down the street!)

    Best new musical off Broadway!

    by Jefferson45 on 7/28/18DR2 - New York

Fun, funny, and sweet. This musical had my cackling with laughter throughout and ultimately conveys a good message about mental health
