NELLY FURTADO IN CONCERT:

Canada's foremost pop chameleon Nelly Furtado reinvented herself yet again on 2013's Spirit Indestructible, surprising fans with a blend of the alternative sound she premiered on her 2000 debut Whoa, Nelly! and the hip-hop-influenced bent of later albums like 2006's Loose. Following the 2012 release of lead single "Big Hoops (Bigger the Better)," she embarked on the Spirit Indestructible Tour, treating fans around the world to her energetic live show. Beloved for her refreshingly wide range of musical styles and sultry vocals, Furtado has fans eagerly awaiting her live appearances in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“ Fans ranged from 8 years old to 80 years old and everyone went home satisfied…She played the ukulele, acoustic guitar and electric guitar and sang soulful remixes that were jazz, rock and hip hop inspired. What a range in style and vocal talent!”

“Nelly Furtado graced the stage with a stunning aura that could be felt from the moment the music began. Singing in three different languages, she held captive the young and old of all ethnicities and backgrounds.”

“The whole place was dancing and singing up a storm. It was one of the better concerts I have had the privilege to see…Her voice was amazing live!”

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

On the strength of such catchy songs as “I’m Like a Bird,” “Turn Off the Light,” “Promiscuous,” and “Say It Right," she has sold over 40 million records worldwide, resulting in seven Grammy nominations and a whopping ten Juno Awards.

Pitbull was fantastic....Paulina Rubio not so much

by lilhazelstar on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Pitbull was a crowd pleaser from start to finish...even in the rain. Paulina Rubio was lip singing most of her songs....and made it very obvious. I enjoyed the concert until it started to rain but for the most part....I was not able to stay for Nelly Furtado. I would tell everyone about these events...and to go to them. it was totally different from the concert atmosphere I have experienced and being on the beach was great as well.

by luisi on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

it was an overall good show and even better that it was free! the only thing is that prior to entering the beach there was a bit of disorientation since wrong information was being given by the personel at the gates but besides that awesome show!

    Rainy night but worth it!

by nasagirl22 on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Even though it rained i was still a good performance. All 3 artists were pretty average. In my opinion the best one of the night was Pitbull, i just felt a litlle more energy comin out of him than Paulina and Nelly did, dont get me wrong the were good too, but the show of the night was pitbull. I wish people could of gotten closer, specially the people all the way in the back i felt bad for them, even their big screen tv was kind of mess up, there was plently of space for more people to get closer.

    Nelly 's Best live

by cheri28 on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Pitbull in the pouring rain made the house rock .There were ugly rumors of shutting the concert down with approaching 60 mile an hour winds but we stayed waiting for Nelly to come on .The amazing thing when she finally opened up her show with maneater the skies started to rain a little harder. Then as she got to a few others the rain was stopping by her last song Say it rightT !!! the whole place was dancing and singing up a storm It was one of the better concerts I have had the privilege to see. Nelly was so hot in her Green metal flack mini and sneakers. Her voiced was amazing live !!! Please bring her back fast!!

    Superbowl fan "jammed"

by cooljoe69 on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Nelly Furtado sang too short and missed a couple of her best songs, Pitbull too quick due to rain and Paulina Rubio rocked!

    Pepsi Jam was awesome!

by Mailbox on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

I got the chance to go to both live concerts. They were exciting and filled with lots of enthauism. The first performer was Paulina Rubio. She was really jumpy and passionate about her music. Then came Pitbull he was awesome. He is from Miami orginally so everyone was dancing in the ran singing along to a lot of the songs he sung. Then Nelly Furtado was bubbly and dancing around the satge like a teenager bouncing from one side of the stage to another. I recognized most of songs the only thing I would recommend is her being a little more excited at the end of the concert.

    Slow start, faster finish

by idgafjavi on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Paulina Rubia's performance was dissappointing and almost painful. Could have done without her all together. Pitbull and Nelly Fertado's performances were injured by rain, but over all they were very satisfying.

    Nelly Furtado saved the night!!!!

by SoBeNative on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Concert started extremely late, but for an open, general concert it was pretty organized. Paulina Rubio was horrible.....Totally "put on and contrived" performance. She didn't sing one song live....and to make it worse, she doesn't know how to lipsynch. Horrible performance, she is no Star. The crowds didn't seem to be moved by her performance or fake singing. Pitbull made the nightmare start to go away...he rocked the party. Great entertainer and made everyone jump and dance. Nelly....well THAT is a STAR! Beautiful, un-pretentious, just Nelly and her beautiful voice. And since she can REALLY sing, she sang every song LIVE. Mesmerizing! The fans really loved her! She was worth the wait and really saved the night!

The show was amazing! It was out on the beach during super bowl weekend in south beach, what more could you ask for? It did rain a bit but that just intesified the music. Nelly Furtado was gorgeous and sounded great!

    They played in the rain

by steversouthbeach on 2/6/10South Beach at 8th and Ocean - Miami

Real troopers - Played in driving rain and the fans hung on. Video screens shorted out but the bands didn't. Will never forget ithat scene of Pit Bull getting soaked. Even Nelly didn't mind...
