About

NEIL YOUNG AND CRAZY HORSE IN CONCERT:

Legendary singer-songwriter Neil Young continues to thrill fans with perennial outings alongside his collaborative band Crazy Horse. Whether they're bringing down the house at Carnegie Hall or sharing the stage with luminaries like Diana Krall, the band always  puts on a stellar, wide-ranging show that keeps fans on their toes. Playing marathon sets that include classics like "Old Man" and "Heart of Gold" alongside creative covers of fellow giants like Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan, the band's unparalleled musicianship and Young's familiar voice are sure to bring back plenty of memories.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Since the late '60s, Neil Young and Crazy Horse have released more than 10 albums, exploring such diverse genres  as country-folk, pop, and psychedelic rock. The band is best known, however, for Neil Young's iconic folk rock songwriting, popularized by hugely successful songs like "Cinammon Girl." Never content to rest on their laurels, Young and company have remained musically prolific and sonically experimental, earning rave reviews for their 2012 double-LP release Psychedelic Pill.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

“Neil Young and Crazy Horse play like the rock and roll legends that they are. Truly a great show reminiscent of the classics from the early days.”

“They weren't going through the motions, they were making them. Improvising, jamming, messing up, laughing, only in the way Neil and the Horse can. They were so tightly tuned in to one another and sounded great, but the best part was that they seemed happy to be there, happy to perform.”

“Neil is a genius! After all these years, he still rocks and puts on a great show!”

    Monitors not on

by Chris on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Neil was great but the monitors were not on. We like seating on the lawn and with my wife in a wheelchair it's easier. With monitors on we get to see the show without them there's only sound. We have tickets to Styx in July I would hope the monitors are on it really makes the concert experience much better. If not we won't be going to concerts at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion it's to much money not to be able to see the show.

    Long May the Horse Run

by Carson on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Due to Panchos retirement, I went to this Crazy Horse show with an open mind. I had not listened to the new album of redux recordings but this live show was most notable for its clean sound. I have to give Neil credit for buffing these old classics to a fine lustre as a sort of "Best of Crazy Horse"showcase. No heavy concepts , just great songs with a couple acoustic numbers thrown in. Where Crazy Horse as a band goes from here is anyone's guess. Maybe Nils Lofgren can pinch hit again?

    Still going strong

by Dave on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Neil is still kicking ass. Band was amazing. Tracks were solid. Neils tone was a sonic punch in the face. Glad I attended.

uncle Neil still thrashing old black like he's Young

by TR on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

I finally saw Neil after loving his music for 45 years and man was i blown away! like listening to live rust and decade rolled into one unbelievable set list- ALL killer classics like "Cortez the Killer"to open(which had a new verse) and "Down by the River"to close the encores. Pure joy. it's not just that he played my fantasy set but he played like it was 1972 with skill, passion, and the raw energy of a young Neil. I haven't had lawn seat tickets since i was a kid but i did this time and it was still great! great sound engineering, I would do it again. The one single thing to disappoint was the decision not to use the many monitor screens throughout the lawn section. It would have enhanced the experience greatly to be able to see what the band was doing- after all we're there to "see the show"

    Neil Young

by TAZ on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

I was soooo excited for this concert. I love Neil Young. My problem was first off the venue. Worst city in NJ. THEY HAVE NO SCREENS. I heard the concert but saw NOTHING. Very disappointed. Second was the “deal” to sell only certain beverages. Couldn’t even get a plain water or a “normal” beer. Terrible. If I had known that I was going to have to walk several block in one of the worst cities in the whole United States I surely would have paid for premium parking.

Thank you Neil. You & Crazy Horse were worth the wait!

by Diana on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Took me almost 50 years to get to see you. You did not disappoint. The sound that came from the 4 of you brought me back to simpler times. I left the concert with a full heart. Thank you ❤️

    Overpriced rip off.

by Newdaze on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

I paid $800 for seats in Sec 100 row f and had obstructed view of Billy Talbot the drummer. From the parking to the vendors everything is overpriced a true corporate RIPOFF. NOT ACCEPTABLE.

    Neil Young Rocks, Camden OK

by Steve O on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Neil Young still has it, although he played not enough classics. The venue is a good one, but the food is not. No soda either. The parking is super expensive.

    Neil never disappoints

by Cassie on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Have to start off by saying that Opening Act was so, so bad. If I wanted to hear gospel music I would’ve gone to church & if I wanted to be lectured on the environment -wait I NEVER want to be lectured to. Such a turnoff. But Neil was FANTASTIC! Crazy Horse sounded great and they played great mix of old and new songs. Great time!

    Never again

by Thegasman on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Neil Young decided to hire a bunch of climate activist to preach to the audience before he came on stage. What a loser. They did have great singing voices, but they can take their message and shove it. I will never again go to a Neil Young concert.

    Neil Never Sleeps!

by Wally on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Neil Young is my favorite artist of all time! He has never brought me down, he continues on his journey to create some of the interesting genres of music in the world throughout his career. Damn good Setlist, too bad he didn’t play longer, I could have definitely …. Rolled another number for the Road! God bless Neil Young, and still rocking at 78 in this everchanging “Free World”?

    Livenation sucks

by Gray on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

Concert was great, I try to avoid this venue if I can. Freedom mortgage pavilion is among the most greedy venues to visit. Live nation owns the parking lots so its minimum $40 just to park your car (card only) and still have to walk to the stadium. Standard greedy drinks and food like all stadiums. Its camden.... even Philadelphia is cheaper

Great show, entering venue could be better.

by Z-man on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

I've seen a number of shows at this venue over the years and it's always a good place to see a show. Neil Young was awesome, and the sound was great. Getting into the venue was a hassle though. I don't recall this being a problem in the past. Long lines to get in through security. Probably was standing around for at least 20 mins. There has to be a better way to avoid the cattle herd scene that was going on.

    Decent

by Chuck on 5/15/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - Camden

The concert was good, great music from Neil Young. The vending choices were poor. Only 2 choices of beer. I know the artist asked for this, but seriously not even a light beer option. Also I got calls saying the main stage act was to start at 7:30 promptly. The website had no opening act listed, so when we went in early, we were shocked that there was an opener and on top of that, Neil Young did not go on till 8:30. These things should be listed.
