Not bad...but not great
by Darlene • Capital One Hall - Tysons on 3/19/25Rating: 3 out of 5It was pretty good. Good songs. I mean who doesn't love Neil Diamond. Music was kinda loud in some places and we couldn't understand the lead singer sometimes, but we knew the words. Couple of problems I had, was that i felt like I was more in a big band bar, rather than a huge venue. There really was no "performance value". Just song after song after song. The lead singer looked awkward at moments, especially when playing the guitar. It was clear this was something very new and they have had very little experience on a big stage, if any. The woman far overpowered the lead singer and there was zero chemistry when they sang together. I felt like I was watching a battle on The Voice. He has a good voice, but no where NEAR the style and charisma of Neil Diamond. I wish people would stop saying these tribute bands sound "exactly like Neil Diamond"They are completely delusional. There is only one Neil and this singer is not close, at all. But again, his music is wonderful and it was good.
