The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

Good time & Univ. of Dayton does a great job at hosting in the solid facility!
I drove 750 miles to check off one from my bucket list -- attending an NCAA tournament game. The University of Dayton Arena was a nice mix of modern convenience with some old school country gym. The crowd was unusual because there were no rowdy college students with body paint and crazy caps and I thought it might be cool to watch a game with families. Unfortunately the parents of these families thought the arena was a playground for their kids. Half the seats remained empty because the kids who were supposed to sit in them had no interest in the game itself but amused themselves by walking up and down the aisles to the snack bar, to the souvenir stand, to the rest room, to just about anything that would hold their attention for a brief moment. Up the aisle to find their seats, down the aisles to visit their friends, up the aisle to go back to their parents, down the aisle again -- all in a matter of minutes. It was a never-ending parade of kids climbing the aisles -- and no ushers to be seen. Late in the second half, the crowd thinned out so I moved across the aisle so I could see the game action only to find a row of kids standing along the railing right in front of me. I missed a pretty good game. USC jumped out to a quick lead and 10 minutes into the first half they looked pretty comfortable. Providence outplayed the Trojans in the next 10 minutes and took a big lead into the half -- fifteen points. In the second half it was all USC as they quickly erased the fifteen point deficit and went up by 10 points, a 25 point swing. Providence tried to rally in the closing minutes but USC held them off to win by 3.
All 4 games were really great. They were all close games & kept your interest. This was my first time to the first 4 & am looking forward to going next year. The last game was a really great game with USC coming back from a 15 point deficit at half time to winning by 4. I would recommend going to the first four to anybody.
Venue was easy to find and parking was easy. Staff were alll very nice and helpful. Not a bad seat in the house.
Games, atmosphere very good. Troubling is the lateness of the end of the second game: both near midnight. I don't know the answer: my guess starting the first game an hour earlier would be a traffic nightmare with rush hour, but it seemed to me that many people left either early or at halftime of the second game each night.
Had a blast. This has become a new tradition for my friends & I.
Amazing games to watch for the average and not so average college basketball fan!!! These games are what sporting events are all about emotional and unpredictable!!!!
UD Arena is a great place to watch a game. I've attended the First Four the past two years and plan on making it three in a row next year.
Game 1 was awesome but Game 2 which was won by KSU was even better plus the KST mascot won the Mascot Dance Off.
Arena simply too small, national anthem was not played before games. Big screens helped. Concessions stands under manned.
Every year it is great. This was the coldest weather year.
Could see well from most places. Food available throughout the building. clean restrooms. Lacked TV screens in the eating areas. Lacked tables or any setup to eat food. Much different that last year when 1st ans 2nd round played there. I like Louisville and the area for site seeing.
Rip Off !!! Bought 4 $200 tickets in advance. My team lost early. Tried on two websites to sell the tickets for 1/2 price. Did not get one offer. Went to the event and could not sell them for $20.
Nothing beats attending an NCAA basketball event. The teams, the pep bands, the cheer leaders and the fans all combine to create an unforgettable event.
Since this was a leased event, the usual Honda Center staff was not employed. Instead, we were greeted at the security check point by Staff Pro who were mean, nasty and were arguing with guests about removing jackets, belts, hats and emptying pockets. I witnessed a shouting match with several customers and the Staff Pro staff. This made for an auspicious beginning to what turned out to be a wonderful event.
Wonderful arena for the NCAA games, and the atmosphere of college games is great. BUT, come on. The pricing on food and beverage was RIDICULOUS! $8.00 for a coke - are they kidding. $5.50 for water (cause you can't bring in your own) is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!! No wonder it wasn't sold out. Some changes need to be made before the games are hosted there again.
The games at the NCAA men's basketball west regional in Anaheim were amazing. Very exciting atmosphere. Crowds were great with the school cheerleaders and bands.
We were able to choose seats that worked perfect for our price range and preferences. The teams that played were incredible and the atmosphere perfect! Several food options...and even a few healthy choices! Service staff were great and the bathrooms clean!
$1700 for 2 NCAA games. You can not eat that much "free" food to justify the upcharge from Prime Sports. Maybe the NCAA can pay the players with all the extra profit they made off the average fan. I was not scammed.. I was just a sucker.
Attended 2016 MW Regional in Chicago - pretty good basketball with only one game not really close, much to the Chagrin of 2/3 of stadium filled with Iowa St fans! Syracuse came from down 10 or more in both games to will the regional, so both finishes were pretty exciting. Crowds handled pretty well despite some construction on east end of stadium - security check does take a while to get through. Little disappointing that 3 teams in MW were from east or west coast while 3 teams in E were from the Midwest - but that is the logic of NCAA assignments.
