About

The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, also known as March Madness, is the annual Division I Men’s Basketball tournament that began in 1939. Composed of 68 men’s college basketball teams across the U.S., the highly-anticipated competition determines the National Champion through a series of single-elimination games over three weeks. The tournament format follows four regional brackets with teams ranked from one to 16, plus an additional eight teams competing to claim the last four main bracket slots during the First Four Games. For the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, the First Four games start on March 18 and 19, followed by the First and Second Rounds between March 20 and 23, Sweet Sixteen on March 27 and 28 and Elite Eight on March 29 and 30. For the fifth time, the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas will host the Final Four and National Championship games, on April 5 and 7 respectively.

The halftime hoops competition was painful to watch. Some kind of half time or between game entertainment would be nice. Even just live feed to the big screen of other games.

  • NCAA Tourney atmosphere always exciting!!

by Docs361 on 3/21/17BMO Harris Bradley Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

Only complaint is there is not enough turn around time between sessions one and two. A number of people ended up missing a good portion of the first game of session two due to lack of time between sessions.

  • No bad seat at Bon Secours Arena!

Super charged exciting NCAA Men's BB! First time my teen age son watched live college basketball - it was a priceless experience! Fans were revved upto watch "locals" SC, NC and Duke.

  • NCAA 1st and 2nd rounds

by Nickie66 on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

We had originally purchased tickets for Greensboro back in December for the games, and our seats would have been on the end of the row. Since the venue was changed, our seats were in the middle of the aisle. This is not our favorite place to sit. The atmosphere was great and food offerings were good. The staff that we encountered were very nice and friendly.

  • Loved the experience

Whole family went this time and we loved the experience. The atmosphere is so fun especially with the bands from each school. Everybody was very friendly.

  • NCAA Greenville Regional was Outstanding!!!

by Anonymous on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

NCAA should come back to Greenville SC soon! Everything was great including the warm and friendly folks who live in and around Greenville SC. Downtown was totally awesome and within a short walk to the arena. The arena was very nice. Downside would be long lines for food and beverages and restrooms. But with a packed house I completely understand.

  • This can't be it

by FUNCGA on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 3 out of 5

My friend and I have been going to the NCAA first and second round games for nearly a decade and they are a highlight weekend every year. This year, we decided to splurge on lower level seats (4 stars) and the VIP package (zero stars). I took off a star because it would have been nicer if they had warned us that the view from these seats was limited by literally anyone who happened to be near the floor for whatever reason, the CBS sideline reporter, the band, the cheerleaders, assistant coaches, and hangers on, the sweat mopping kid, that dude who stands facing the crowd during TV timeouts, you name it. But hey, when there wasn't someone standing between us and the action we got a great view of the game you can't get at home. The VIP package was another story entirely. The food was nice and free beer is always welcome, but at something like $100 per person per session, we really expected a lot more from something called "the NCAA Experience". There were no TVs to stay up with what was going on in other games, there were no history exhibits or interactive play, Some old codger talking about his glory days while we ate our mundane catered in food and sucked down a free beer before the games started was hardly a substitute. It would have been alright i suppose if we could have gone out there at the half and between games for another beer, but it was only open to us before the session. Bottom line. Don't waste your money.

  • NCAA Tournament Fantastic!

by Meecey on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

My first time at the NCAA Tournament was a great experience. I enjoyed the Wellness center and the Greenville area. I got to see my favorite team play (Duke) and a few of the games were close, so that was exciting to see.

  • Amazing event. Venue was run poorly.

by Dukefann23 on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 3 out of 5

The games were great. Couldn't have asked for better games. However, the venue was very unprepared for the event. They weren't broadcasting the other tournament games on any of the TV's in the arena during either day, except in the luxury suites. Additonally, line control was terrible. Around every concession the concourse became a bottle neck and you couldn't walk through. Made it undesirable to eat or drink anything.

  • NCAA Tourney

by Anonymous on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The size of the venue allows for a intimate setting, and it's proximity to downtown is desirable. Bathrooms are clean food options were great, and the flow in and out of the building was exceptional!

  • NCAA Greenville was amazing

  • Great venue

by Tigerssc on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I really enjoyed the whole experience. I went to the last one that was in Greenville and they have come a long way to make the experience for everyone enjoyable. I thank NCAA selection committee for selecting the teams that were in it to be here. Because of that we had a packed house. I think it is something that they should look at in the future. It is more enjoyable when you have a lot of hometown folks to cheer their teams. The only problem was that the restaurants were packed to capacity, which I think also had St Patricks Day play a part. I think everyone that I saw or talked with enjoyed the weekend. Maybe we can host a sweet 16 next time. I really did enjoy the experience and glad that I went ahead and order tickets when I did. Even tho I didn't have a team in the tournament I still enjoyed it. Hopefully, we will not have to wait another 14 years to host.

  • Excellent Event

by whatitis on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The event was fantastic. The event staff was awesome as they ready and willing to help and give direction as needed. The only negative thing was the lack of restroom facilities. At breaks, halftime and between games it was impossible to get anywhere bear the facilities.

  • Keep March Madness in Greenville

It was an incredible experience--parking and walking and downtown! Please keep the tourney in Greenville, SC!!!

  • Great venue

by Pharmeer99 on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Can't beat march madness. Always exciting and this was a perfect venue. Greenville has a lot to offer around the arena which made this experience even better although the lack of alcohol sales was a bummer. I understand this was an NCAA rule but not being able to enjoy a cold brew at a sporting event seems unamerican.

  • Great teams in NCAA Rounds 1 & 2

by Husker71 on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great mix of teams in this year's NCAA, with upsets in 3 of 6 games!

  • 2017 NCAA Div. I Men's Basketball Championship - 1

by Beaveruin on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 1 out of 5

Concession stands ran out of food very early in Session 2 and selection was limited to begin with. Prices were unconscionable - $10.50 for "souvenir" soda. CBS started Session 3 games much too late. The only reason for starting an east coast game at 9:40 PM on a Sunday is TV ratings. No consideration is given to paying fans - many of whom were undoubtedly from out of town - who might have to work the next day.

  • Ncaa 1st & 2nd rounds

by Anonymous on 3/21/17Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Great site, great parkin, great basketball I swish there would have been some port-a-potties in the parking lot. That was why it didn't get 5 stars
