Cary Ampitheater is always a great place for a night out. The lawn is a great place to relax, socialize, eat and have fun. I had high expectations for this event; I have seen the NC Symphony do this music of queen, led zeppelin, pink floyd and abba. All were wonderful. This one was too...and might even be the best one of all. Once the storm passed, the evening was perfect. I highly recommend this show to anyone who likes the beatles, classic rock, and listening to music out of doors.
We got there one hour before the concert and there was plenty of room on the lawn to decide where to sit. We got out our little picnic and it started rainning!! But it passed quikly and everyone was in good spirits:) The concert was just a little bit delayed because of it. Once the music started, everyone forgot about the rain. It was perfect: great sound, great music, great starry night:). We had an awesome time!!!
The concert was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We had a really nice time at this event over the weekend. The orchestra was amazing and the group did a really good job on covering Paul McCartney/Wings songs. We had lawn seats, so we brought our own chairs. We ended up in a really nice spot, with a great view. It did rain for just a moment, but after that even the weather was beautiful. I would recommend this event to others. However, next time we go to any symphony event we will come prepared with our own cooler full of goodies. Practically everyone in attendance really went all out regarding what they brought food and drink wise. We won't be making that mistake again by not bringing a cooler.
A great show-- the Symphony, of course, didn't disappoint and was lovely. I did feel that the session was a bit short-- particularly for the price point. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it.
Koka Booth is the most beautiful ampitheatre we have ever been to--lake on the side with trees all around. N.C Symphony was wonderful and the guest performers for Paul McCartney and Wings were great. You can bring in food and booze and chairs and blankets to the symphony, but no food and booze to concerts. This was very confusing on their website. There are allot of restaurants represented there and the food looked great. Booze is expensive.
We took our kids and had a great time....very laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, and great music!
I was very excited to attend the event. However, due to weather conditions, the concert was interrupted shortly after the performance began. The event was eventually canceled. The attendants were told that they could keep their tickets for later use. I bought tickets for four members of my family and we are two hours away, so this was a disappointment to us. I do not plan to purchase tickets for an event held out doors again. The event I feel would have been wonderful if the weather had not ruined it.
Great music, great service, great fireworks. Loved it.
