    Made for TV Only

    by Zee174Q on 6/26/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Don't bother going live. Too much time in between picks with nothing going on.

    A great fan experience

by DarnellJ on 7/1/15Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The NBA Draft is a great fan experience for anyone who is a big fan of the NBA. It's always nice to see NBA fans come together and cheer there team selection or boo there team selection (Knicks fans in general). My seat was ok but i got an upgrade to move to section 8.

    Better on TV

by hiphopcr on 7/1/14Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The Barclay Center is beautiful and I saw fans of all 30 teams. Being a non-competitive event the feeling of joviality and excitement for the upcoming season was palpable. I met so many great and friendly fans from all over the country. However, The Barclay Center commentators (Malik Rose & whoever he was with) were HORRIBLE. They are as PC as it gets (Malik Rose literally said "I think he's gonna be great" about EVERY draftee) and have nothing interesting to say. They kill time (and there's a LOT of time to kill at the draft) by showing their cheerleaders dance... over... and over... and over... The panacea for these issues would be to simply broadcast the ESPN feed on the jumbotron. Not only are they entertaining as hell (Simmons, Jay, and Jalen are fantastic) but they are informative and do great live interviews. I watched the ESPN telecast when I got home and learned so much more about every draftee. Unfortunately, I probably won't go again until they dump their boring proprietary coverage for ESPN's.

    We want ESPN

    by JG000 on 6/30/14Barclays Center - Brooklyn

One star simply because of the cheesy and useless entertainment Barclays Center throws at the crowd during the draft (NBA TV hosts, DJ, dancers, trivia). Please do it like the Prudential Center did and have the ESPN announce team over the loudspeakers. It's a no-brainer, but Barlcays Center has dropped the ball and disappointed the fans two years in a row now.

The draft is a great experience

by DuaneBakerJr on 6/29/14Barclays Center - Brooklyn

I had a complete blast at the NBA draft. I attended with my family. I enjoyed the outcome of the draft for my team, the Lakers. I enjoyed the basketball focused night in terms of it being a basketball junkies dream night. Great draft. The Philly fans were a little less than classy but other than that it was fine.

    Not for serious draft fan.

by CapAn on 6/29/14Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Enjoyed being at the event but the negatives are that you miss on the analysis of ESPN. The NBA opts for a softer coverage that did not meet my needs. Barclay Center has great acoustics

Please go back to ESPN announcers this year!

    by JG000 on 5/16/14Barclay Center - Brooklyn

Last years NBA TV coverage in the arena was terrible. Please please please go back to ESPN team like it's always been. That's what the fans want.

I absolutely hated not hearing the national broadcast. I went there to hear Bilas and Simmons. Was furious about that.

    Unimpressed

by SteveRoth on 7/1/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Over 50% of the seating had obstructed view. Unless you were sitting directly in front of the stage, you could not see all that was going on as well as the draft board set up on stage. When I purchased my tickets, there was "ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION WHATSOEVER" that I was purchasing obstructed view seats. When I spoke to the manager on site, they said "oh well" we are sorry. I called the box office immediately upon arriving at my seat, but no response. Also, there was no need for a time delay from when the team's time ran out to make a selection, until David Stern decided to come out and make the announcement of teh selection. This delayed the event an average of 3-5 minutes per selection.

Unique experience, but the main problem is the draft is too long with 5 minutes between each pick, the NBA should speed up the process because by the 15th pick or so (or after your team selected), you already want to leave.

Disappointing experience as an NBA fan

by dreweastmead on 6/30/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Ticketmaster & Barclays promoted there would be lower-level seats available; there were absolutely none available when tickets went on sale. If you're going to reserve the entire 100-level for corporate seating and friends/family of draftees, fine. But then don't promote it publicly for weeks that lower-level seating is available for $50ish. 2. The NBA should treat its biggest fans — those who made the effort to attend the draft in person & pay $$ — better than those sitting at home. If I’m AT THE DRAFT, I should be getting faster, better information than I can get from the NBADraft.net Twitter feed. Announce trades as they happen — not 90 minutes later! David Stern deserved every boo he got. 3. Venue should play the ESPN broadcast with Bilas, Jalen, Bill Simmons, Katz, etc. in the stadium. NO ONE wants to hear the NBA TV drones. 4. Prices at Barclays = worse than Yankee Stadium. $25 for a beer & a sandwich. 5. Barclays Center: thank you so much for the blinding spotlight that was pointed at section 203 all night long. We couldn’t even look at the stage.

    Horrible draft coverage

by Knickamonster on 6/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

I haven't missed an NBA draft since 1994. While the atmosphere at Barclays was nice, the draft coverage was very mediocre. I found about trades online instead of at the draft. This there was no advantage to being a member Of the audience versus watching on TV at home.

    NBA Draft: Fun but Lacking

by DJKahn on 6/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Pros: Great view from value seats, engaging event staff Cons: Not able to hear speakers for large portions of night (sound/mics too quiet), no updated transaction information (trades, etc.)

    Better on TV

    by Netsback14 on 6/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

You could not hear the Broadcasters well , and you could not hear their interviews with the players. There was no posting anywhere of trades that were going on, I had to find out from my cell phone. Next time Ill have a much better experience if I just stay home.

    NBA DRAFT 13

by JETSWILLWINWITHSANCHEZ on 6/29/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

First time to a pro draft and to the BARCLAY CENTER. The ticket had a 7:00 PM start time but it was actually after 8:00 before anything happened. The event moved pretty fast. The sound system could have been better and the BARCLAY CENTER should recognize their upper level patrons. There were a lot of big screen views of smiling kids in the good seats but never a shot of the other areas. Would have made some kids day if they only bothered to point higher.
