It was a great experience & was glade the NBA had it at Oakland.
THE NBA ALL-STAR CELEBRITY GAME WAS PHENOMENAL. I REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF, THE ATMOSPHERE WAS AMAZING. I LIKE HOW THE CELEBRITIES INTERACTED WITH THE FANS, TOOK THE TIME TO STOP AND SIGN AUTOGRAPHS, TAKE PICTURES AND HAVE FUN. I HAD THE ULTIMATE FAN EXPERIENCE. INDIANAPOLIS, IN THE CITY WITH GREAT OPPORTUNITIES.
Safety was my number priority on my list for taking my family downtown indy, and the police came out in Squad form. Thank you. The detail that was put into this event surpassed all my expectations. This was a once in a lifetime event for me, and I'm grateful I got to share priceless moments like this one, safely with my family.
I am not sure if the snow storm kept people away. Usually the celebrity all star game is full of celebrites. We basically only knew Jennifer Hudson and Walker Hayes. It was a great game and I think Micah Parsons should play basketball not football, lol. We just don't have en eventful time that we thought we would!
The game was okay, it could have been better. The growd was not really involved, a lot of empty seats. Should of had more celebrities to participate. My son was ready to leave at the end of the 3rd quarter. Not sure if the location should have been at Gainbridge?
Personally, I felt that the energy was flat. Very little announcing throughout the game. The background music was not at all something that felt appropriate to an All-Star celebrity game. It would have been nice to know who had the ball sometimes by the announcers since they were not showing closeups on the screen. The gimics were clever and fun, as well as the special performance groups but over all it was boring.
High seats and everything beneath us were empty! Couldn’t see the big boards due to the crossing of big beams. Much better on TV. Lucas Oil was not the place for this event.
The games itself was fine. But it was an unorganized mess. Lines EVERYWHERE. For the Saturday night game at Lucas oil there was 1 entrance. ONE!! Most exits were closed when ready to leave making tons of people walking miles in the freezing cold to their cars/ubers. Lucas oil events had terrible merchandise selections.
Event was just okay. I would compare it to a pre season Pacers game, great for kiddos 12 and under. Saw a few celebrities - Common, JHud, Lil Wayne, Unc Shannon but the players in the game I barely recognized. So highlighted but nothing worth driving in the snow for, could have watched on TV.
Very happy with the overall show. The biggest disappointment was not being able to get a beer at what was about 7:30. Seemed odd. We were going from Lucas Oil to Gainbridge and had an entire night ahead. We got settled in our seats and during half-time of the celebrity game they had already stopped alcohol sales. Odd!
The event was not as exciting as expected. Lucas Oil is a great facility for football. We were in the lower level but the experience seemed distant and not very engaging for basketball.
It was interesting to have the Celebrity Game and the Rising Stars Game 2 hours apart at different venues. It made it impossible to go to both and I would have liked to.
The game was taken way too seriously. Players should’ve been mic’d up and the event needed more fan interaction. The LED court was the highlight of the evening. Bring the fun back to the Celebrity game.
Never been to an NBA all star game. Celebrity game lacked well known celebrities, could have been more playing the game, but overall experience was nice. Best of show was the theatrics with the flooring, Great Job Indiana.
I was looking forward to going to the All-Star weekend but seems like to me. The tickets are sold out right now and I don’t get paid A week after next week
One team was loaded with A-lister.. and other was uhmmm one football legend…
Since the NBA All-Star game hasn’t been in Salt Lake for 30 years I wanted to participate in one of the events it was a lot of fun
Well for starters it was Team LeBron on one side and he wasn’t even there. It was no practice by any stretch of the imagination. They stood there with maybe 3 one minute competitions that no one took even remotely seriously. There was virtual no interaction with the fans. It was pathetic in every sense of the word. I should have not bought tickets.
Had a great time at the celebrity game would definitely great time at the celebrity game would definitely go again!!
