About

This unprecedented event pairs National Geographic’s stunning natural history footage with an original symphony composed by Bleeding Fingers Music, performed live by a full orchestra and choir.

Driven by a five-part composition, Symphony for Our World combines artistry and science as it brings viewers from the depths of the sea, up to the coastlines, onto land, through mountains and into the sky. Each movement results in a powerful musical tribute to the beauty and wonders of our wild world.

The 90-minute show is packed with groundbreaking imagery and storytelling from 130 years of beloved National Geographic history.

Symphony for Our World is officially licensed by National Geographic and produced by Jason Michael Paul Entertainment.

    Excellent event

by JoyB on 5/23/19Ohio Theatre - Columbus

The National Geographic Symphony for our World performed wonderful music combined with videos of animals in their habits which were amazing. It seems impossible to get the footage and photos of animals, birds, insects and reptiles especially in the perfect manner that was shown. It was a treat to hear some of the interviews by photographers and conservationists. I hope it returns with similar visual and audio entertainment. Our Columbus symphony and chorus did an excellent job!

    Wonderful!!!

    by Skf1219 on 5/22/19Ohio Theatre - Columbus

I thoroughly enjoyed this program. Of course, the National Geographic photographers and videographers are amazing anyway, but when you put it together with music and a live symphony, it was truly awesome!

    Everyone should see this Show

    by J. U. on 5/22/19Ohio Theatre - Columbus

Being an amateur photographer I am always amazed by the quality of content with National Geographic photography. This being all video, set to live music, makes it even better. How they captured some of the images simply blew me away. The purpose of the show was to promote how fragile the planet Earth is and that we need to take care of it. There is a proper way of saving our planet without giving up our quality of life. All of the World’s leaders need to see this. Actually everyone needs to see this show.

    Great music, great nature film

by J. Z. on 5/14/19San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

Overall, the symphony was wonderful. The music was beautiful, and of course, the nature film was top notch. What I didn't like was - the pauses in the nature film to show the orchestra on stage. Ordinarily this would be cool, but the lighting on stage is so dark, that it was basically a dark square blob for 30 seconds - didn't add value. I'd much rather see more nature than a dark blob on the screen. The conductor of the orchestra took too many bows - literally between each piece, when he started, when he finished, and at every opportunity in between. There were too many starts and stops and bows. I would have preferred it if the pieces and film went straight through without as many pauses between sections. I have to reiterate that the music and film were spectacular.

    A beautiful sensory experience

by Vandi on 5/11/19San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

The Nat Geo symphony that was held in San Jose Center for Performing Arts was a fantastic experience. Our friend gifted us tickets to the performance. It was amazingly well composed and blended beautifully with every single detail in the videos. The visuals were a bunch of videos and still clips. The whole concert was divided into five parts - sea, shore, land, mountains, and sky. The video/photo quality was excellent and the symphony was outstanding - in particular, the wind and strings sections. All in all, a must see, hear, and feel experience!

    Absolutely Fabulous Show!

by C. L. on 5/10/19San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

Fantastic show! I wish there was another hour of the gorgeous pictures and videos. The testimonials were excellent also. Everyone should see this show and see how much damage humans are making to our planet and the animals on it. Very, very sad and everyone should start making a change now. I would definitely see this show again!

    Real World Sound and Vision

by Dom on 5/9/19San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

There is a saying that "music goes straight to the heart." We witnessed the perfect marriage of human replication of nature's sounds with graphic art in vivid detail portraying a personal understanding of the world we are part of.

    Amazing performance

by J. T. on 5/9/19San Jose Center for the Performing Arts - San Jose

Symphony Silicon Valley was amazing and the NatGeo footage was fabulous as well. What wasn't the best - so many people arriving late and the ushers using lighting on the pathways for them - it was SO distracting. Also, the 8:00pm start time was way too late! On a Monday night, 7:00pm or 7:30pm would be far more appropriate.
