The aquarium was a great day trip. It was a little crowded during peak hours as expected. I bought my tickets in advance and got the complete package. Overall a great day filled w great exhibits.
The last time I went to the National Aquarium In Baltimore was 24 yrs ago. It was great then. This time it was a little disappointing. They used to have more tropical's and the layout was better. Crowds were crazy, even on a weekday. We went midweek. Yes they added the dolphin show, which was nice, and the 4-D short movie, which was the highlight as far as I was concerned, but I felt it took to much time and kept me away from the actual Aquarium itself. When you purchase tickets in advance they don't tell you its timed tickets for these, so that when you get there you have to do those first. If i would have known this I would have skipped it and went straight to the Aquarium part itself. Final thoughts: If you live closer to the Camden Aquarium in New Jersey, go there! Side note: Go to the 27 floor of the Baltimore World Trade Center Building for $5..worth it, great view!
Terrific facility. Only sad thing was that we did not have enough time to see Dolphin Show at 6:30 p.m. as we were scheduled for Boston/Baltimore baseball game starting at 7:05 p.m.
I got tickets to the aquarium, 4D film, and the dolphin show. Everything was great. I recommend all three.
We have not been to the Baltimore Aquarium in around 8 years. The changes that were made were great! My family enjoyed it greatly. The only down side was a group of disruptive children in the 4D theater made that experince less enjoyable.
The aquarium was great! I would definitely not recommend the 4-D show to any young children. Mine lasted about 2 seconds. Everything else was wonderful. My 3 year old had a blast. From watching the dolphin show to seeing a feeding of the large sea life it was completely educational and enjoyable for her. None of us wanted to leave.
I took my daughter and 4 year old grandson and we had a simply amazing day! He was bouncing from one tank to the other and at every turn, he wanted to see the events below in the center tank. Once we entered the dolphin show, I don't think a smile left that little ones face for the entire presentation. I took lots of pictures and can't wait to share them with family and friends.
The 4d show was great , the aquarium was full of interesting things it was a wonderful experience
