Nate is a spectacularly innovative drummer. Thats true of his band members, as well. Venue was terrific.

Killer set, great music, such expertise on their instruments. You won't be disappointed by this show. See them in an intimate venue if you can.

There was no planned set, which I thought was an interesting idea, taking the audience for a ride through a raw, creative experience. That experience for me was overall disappointing. The guy playing the synth overpowered the drum and bass for most of the performance. The bass player was brilliant, but lost direction at a few points in the show that made it awkward to watch. Nate's improvising was great at points, but failed to deliver something spectacular because the synth player was trying to steal the show with his tone deaf noises. The chemistry needed to pull off something like that wasn't there.

Nate Smith does a great show. We loved his first show so much we came back for the second show the same night. Jimmy’s Jazz Club is an excellent venue - truly a Portsmouth, NH treasure!
