    Worth the Wait!

by Ladydi60 on 6/27/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

It's been years since I have seen Nancy Wilson, and it was worth the wait. Her voice is still smooth, and her talent is still on point. I'm sorry to know that she is going to retire, but I'm glad that I got to see her one last time before she stops singing live. I just wished that she could have sung more songs, as a farewell to Philly. Nancy you will surely be missed as the best Diva of Jazz.

    Incredible, Fantastic, Tremendous, Outstanding!!!!

by Anonymous on 6/26/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

She was funny, edgy, nostalgic, personal, what can I add?! Wow, such a versatile, heartwarming, down to earth performance. Her singing was immaculate as each note was clear and expressive. It felt like an evening with just Nancy Wilson and you...I will never forget that I spent her next to the last performance reviewing her 60 year career with her in story and song.Wonderful!!

The show at the Dell was amazing. Naji and Nancy Wilson were perfect. We also got a picture with the Diva. We were honored to be in attendance at one of her last performances.

Nancy Wilson's still got it going on!!!

by Calee on 6/26/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

She was absolutely fabulous. From her first steps onto the stage with her regal stature and elegant gown, her humorous remarks and her voice which has gotten better with time. She was just awesome and i'm so glad she came to Philly, but i'm sad that she will not be performing anymore.

Nancy Wilson awsome! Problem with Front row seats!

by DOglesby on 6/26/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

The show with Najee and Nancy Wilson was great! The Dell East now has large screens which was great! My problem was our front row seats sec D had to move because the speakers where too close, too loud and our view wasn't clear. When you purchase tickets early and in the front row you expect no problems at all!!! We had to ask to be seated in another area which was very disappointing since I was expecting my front row seats would be great! The speakers are too close and should be moved or elevated so your not vibrating or having a contant ringing in your ear!

    Classy as Ever!!

by MsTelle on 6/26/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

Took my BFF as I knew she was her favorite singer, we were not disappointed to say the least. She was absolutely Gorgeous, Stunning, and her 3pc band sounded like an 18pc orchestra. Nancy announced that this was her next to last show, due to retiring from the stage after 60 years in the business. I'm glad we got to enjoy a true Living Ledgend with all the style and grace, and humor that she exudes at the tender age of 75. Out of all the renovations to the arena, management overlooked the restrooms! Absolutely Horrid! All of the water all over the floor was just plain Disgusting! If you didn't roll up you pant legs, you would be wearing toilet water on your clothes! I had to warn others on my way out to roll up their pant legs, and if you happened to wear flat shoes or sandals, one can only imagine what you were stepping in.

When Nancy walked onto the stage to a standing Philly ovation, she bowled and then sank into an easy chair and let out a sigh of relief. Almost, as if she was in the comfort of her home. Her first song was up beat and her voice was strong though her timing was just a tad off. But like the fine mucisian that she is by the second song her timing was impecable. Nancy opened the door and let us in to not only hear deliver song after song, but also to see what a beautiful down to earth human being she is. The show was simply unforgetable and I will always treasure having been there.

Najee and the headliner Ms. Nancy Wilson were fabu

by YvetteJ on 6/25/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

This was my first experience at the Dell. I was very impressed. From the security at the gate to the ushers and the vendors were very professional. Now about the show. Najee's set was marvelous. He came out in the audience sat down next to my girlfriend and proceeded to play his sax for us. Where should I start with Ms. Wilsons' . I was floored by her inner as well as her outer beauty. She looked gorgeous in her silver blue sequined gown. I hope to be as gorgeous when I reach her age. She still has a fabulous singing voice and she is very witty and able to laugh at herself. She went up on the lyrics to one of her songs but kept her poise regardless. Wow, what a performer she is. She deserves her upcoming retirement after sixty years in the business. May God continue to shower her with favor and many blessings. K....

    Nancy Wilson

by pauldave on 6/25/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

A wonderful event - Miss Wilson (I can't imagine calling her anything else) is one of the last class acts in music. Style, taste, talent - all things that she has to spare. Miss Wilson sang a wonderful selection of songs that suited her voice. At 75 years old, Wilson is a singer, an actress, and a storyteller at the same time. Her work shows a long distillation of life experience and a continuation of her incredibly high standards. An observation - in todays music scene, how many artists performing in an outdoor venue in 85 degree heat on a humid Summer night would be formally and beautifully dressed, not to mention having her trio in tuxedos? Again, Miss Wilson keeps a very high standard. It's amazing to me that the venue was not sold out. The Dell East shows great improvement, although small things such as the ushers being better trained and the vendors posting signage would help. I do think the concert could have been better marketed - when Miss Wilson was at the Kimmel Center 4 or 5 years ago, the hall was much more sold. In all - a wonderful evening. I can only hope that Miss Wilson keeps performing and hold off on retirement a bit longer.

"Nancy Wilson," what a treat - a real songstress!

by LadyD55 on 6/25/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

Nancy Wilson is phenomenal. What a tribute/celebration of just how much an asset Nancy Wilson is and has been to our 60-year era of music. How blessed was I to sit and listen to her style of music... As Najee was featured! When he came down off stage blowing the sax right in my face - I was blown away, as it was so enticing and soulful! I L O V E D this show at the Dell! Besides, it's so nice to visit Philadelphia and not only hear the voice of Patty Jackson - but see her voice in action is a proud moment, as well.

    Nancy still got it!

by Bobbypro on 6/25/11Robin Hood Dell - Philadelphia

Ms Wilson still has a great voice. She performed to an appreciative crowd in the newly renovated Dell. The concert was special in many ways. Nancy was her classy and saucy self at 75. It marked her 60th year in showbiz. She will perform only once more before a graceful exit. She sat in a chair through most of the concert, attired in a gorgeous silver dress. A Truly memorable night in Philly!

Nancy Wilson was a a musical dream come true!

by Freebie57 on 5/3/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

Nancy Wilson was every bit the legendary performer she has been for now almost sixty years. Every note she sang was a treasure to hear. That night any singer in the audience received a lesson on how it was done.

I was as amazed by hearing Nancy in person as I was fascinated by seeing her perform on stage. She is a sophisticated and memorable woman having an unforgettable voice and she displays her gifts with such style and class. For all the younger women who had no idea of what femininity looks like, I'm certain that when their eyes rested on Nancy, their questions were answered.

Nancy Wilson, in a CLASS by herself

by cocobird on 4/24/11BERGEN PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - Englewood

After 60 yrs in show business, hundreds of albums and CDs, this woman still has it.. the class that has made her the favorite she is today. The set was excellent, Nancy sounded astounding and the band was so tight.. I couldnt ask for more, except for her to keep going for another 5 hours...but that would have been selfish of me.. If you get the opportunity to see Nancy Wilson, you must do so and experience the sass and the Class
