The ultimate cure for heartburn and a headache!!

by Dalace on 3/10/12Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

I had the pleasure of sitting in the front row and got to hear and see Ron Tobin perform Therapy on himself perfectly. I recommend this show to anyone who comes away from a family gathering with any kind of negative feelings. It was the funniest one-man show I've seen in I don't know how long. The jokes and material were relevant to anyone and everyone and my 96 year old Grandma and I were practically rolling in the aisles! Ron Tobin has the talent and was an extremely appreciative man when we met him in the lobby after the show.

    Disappointing

by BibPod on 3/9/12Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

Drove a long distance to see. Was not what I was expecting. More of just a comedian doing standup. Didn't relate much to Italian and Jewish families. A lot of people left at intermission. We stayed hoping the second half would improve,; it didn't. Save your money for something better.

    Not for non-Boomers

by UniformYankee on 1/1/12Bathurst Street Theatre - Toronto

Saw the show on a lark. If you are under the age of 55, you aren't likely to enjoy the script. More or less a Seinfeld episode with social commentary from the Baby Boomer set. Those in the audience who look to be of that generation were rolling on the floor laughing. My date and I are in our late 30s and found very little of the monologue original, or even funny. I would note that the actor gives a splendid performance, which is the only reason we didn't leave at intermission.

    good clean comedy

by jeanj9 on 11/9/11Bathurst Street Theatre - Toronto

We traveled in from the states to see this show and don't regret it for a second. I was by far the youngest person there (34) and could still appreciate the humor and sincerity to his story telling delivery. It was great to go to a show that didn't deem it necessary to be highly technological or overly vulgar. Good hearted laughs. He deserves a better venue than the Bathurst Theatre.

    Title is a little long

by Suzanneb88 on 11/7/11Bathurst Street Theatre - Toronto

The play was amazing. Paul Kreppel is extremely engaging and talented. I laughed the entire time and was disappointed it had come to an end. I could have sat there all day listening to him. It is well written and very well delivered. I hope everyone goes to see it. Thinking about going again!! (Upload photos and videos? We aren't allowed to take picutres or videos!)

    Corny and boring

by Suekev on 10/24/11Bathurst Street Theatre - Toronto

Expecting to laugh? - don't bother. Jokes were corny and boring. We left during intermission with no regrets except for losing our money. If we could get a refund, we would.

Could relate to most of the issues

by Kittkaboo on 5/19/11Temple for the Performing Arts - Des Moines

Thought it was very entertaining and funny. Felt like home to me. I am 50% Italian and the rest is mostly German/Irish mix..Very funny, especially when he talks about his cousins/aunts, uncles, friends. I though the bit about the dog was very funny as well. My husband is from New Jersey and can relate also to the east coast comedy. I would recommend this show to any one, any age!

Over all very good. The time flew by...I thought I was only there a 1/2 hour. There was probably more he could have said. Most of us are from diverse ethnic backgrounds and CAN relate. Thank you. Wish I could have got the discount offered by e-mail but didn't understand ONLY by e-mail. Hope you have better attendance most of the seats were empty...the show deserved much more.

    Very Funny

by Chicago58 on 3/6/11Vogel Hall Marcus Center - Milwaukee

Show was very funny. Was really worth the price of the tickets. Show was meant for an older crowd, young people would probably be lost in the script. Very talented, voices were great.
