About

After being discovered by Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Canadian rockers My Darkest Days was destined for greatness. This became quite apparent when, out of thousands of rock songs released every year, the band's debut song, "Porn Star Dancing," made it to Number 1 on the Mainstream Rock chart.  Fans who are lucky enough to snag tickets to one of the band's shows are in for an extreme adrenaline-fueled show. Whether fans are looking to crowd surf, jump up to loud, rhythmic music, or just sit back and enjoy the show, My Darkest Days has got it all. In 2012, the band released their sophomore album Sick and Twisted Affair to a No. 9 spot on the US Alternative Albums chart, earning two more hits with the album's title track and its lead single "Casual Sex."  Fans who were only able to follow the band via the lead singer's 2013 tour with Three Days Grace will undoubtedly be ecstatic when a third album is released.

Fans love hearing the story of My Darkest Days and how they came to be in the spotlight.  The band had a serendipitous rise to fame that stemmed from hard work and good connections. The band won a local rock radio contest in 2008 with their song "Every Lie," which earned them free studio time. This was the only break that the band would ever need since the lead singer's brother, a member of the major rock band Three Days Grace, was friends with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback.  Once Kroeger received the demo, it was all uphill from there. The band's very first album, My Darkest Days, rounded out the top nine of the US alternative charts driven by hits such as "Porn Star Dancing" and "Every Lie".  When it comes to insane riffs coupled with melodic tunes in a hard rock atmosphere, rock fans give My Darkest Days' concerts a big thumbs-up.

This concert was awesome. Both of the opening/ warm-up bands were great as well. I liked the venue that was chosen as well. My Darkest Days concert was well worth the money spent to see them.

My Darkest Days always delivers a good show!

by JMEzy on 4/3/12Piere's - Fort Wayne

This is the 3rd time that I've seen this band and I'm always impressed with the vocals, music, and all around good show that they deliver. All of the shows that I've been to were at small venues where you are up close and personal. I've met all of the band members and I have to say they're all very nice guys who are extremely personable and really appreciate their fans. They played songs from both their previous and new albums and it was a great music mix!

    Simply Amazing

by SMaria on 4/25/11Dream Makers Theatre and The Crofoot Ballroom - Sault Ste Marie and Pontiac

I've seen this band 2 times, and am going to see them a 3rd time very soon. They are, honestly, worth seeing again and again and again. I saw them the 1st time, with Hinder and didn't expect much from them, since i didn't really know them. Turns out, i was wrong. After seeing them, i was blown away, and i really fell in love. The band members are so down to earth and very cool. I got the chance to meet a couple of them (Sal Costa, Matt Walst, and Reid Henry) after the 1st show i saw. It was an honor to meet them and it was an experience of a lifetime. These guys are really the coolest rock stars you could ever meet and put on a killer show. My Darkest Days in the best opening band I have ever seen, and I can't wait until they start headlining some tours.

I Had The Time of My Life!!!

by Asilvey on 12/7/10IP Resort and Casino - Biloxi

This show was in Biloxi, MS at the IP Casino and Spa. The night before we saw My Darkest Days at the WJRR Holiday Ho Down for the second time! I am here to tell you that My Darkest Days are extremely addictive in concert! I love them more and more every time I see them. I had to see them again so I followed them to Biloxi from Orlando. It was an 8 hour drive and it was well worth it! I would do it again and again! No regrets here cause I had the time of my life! When this band hits the stage they hit it like a sonic boom! Awesome would be an understatement! This band should be headlining all of their very own shows! They are beyond high octane! I have never in my life seen a band quite like this one. Once you see them live the whole concert experience will never ever be the same again! This band will leave quite the lasting impression on you! Matt Walst the lead singer/songwriter/guitarist is truly talented. He is passionate about the songs and sings them with all of his heart and soul! He possesses such charisma and has quite the stage presence. You can hear the raw passion and emotion in his voice! He knows just how to put on a real show! The Lead Guitarist Sal Coz Costa is a force to be reckoned with! He is a truly amazing to watch! He makes Vinnie Vincent look totally subdued! He can charm the audience like a snake! He is beyond mesmerizing! I was flush with the stage that night and I am here to tell you that he is the best lead guitarist I have ever seen in my life! Brendan McMillan the Bass player is quite intriguing to watch as well. To be honest I usually find Bass players to be such the bore. Brendan is not at all your typical Bass player! He is so energetic and animated when he plays! He totally gets lost in the music! He has more than earned my respect! Reid Henry (Keyboardist/Guitarist) and Doug Oliver (Drummer) are no exception! This whole band plays straight from their hearts and gives you a show like no other! You can tell not only by watching but also from listening to this band play that they truly love what they are doing! Every time I see them they sound just as good as their album if not even better! They are always better than the headliner! When they are playing nothing else in the world matters! They take you on the ride of your life! You can escape with them and feel their love and passion for the music! A My Darkest Days concert is a high like none other! Nothing can eclipse My Darkest Days! This was my third My Darkest Days show and will NOT be the last! I will see them as much as I possibly can! If money was no object I would follow this band around the country! They never disappoint and they aim to please their fans. They always do a meet and greet after the show and stick around until every autograph is signed and all pictures are taken! I have never in my life met a band that truly loves their fans as much as My Darkest Days does! Even when you meet them for the first time try treat you like a dear friend and talk with you like they have known you all of your life! They actually recognize their loyal fans and remember them all by name, face, and hometown which is beyond impressive and means so very much! This band is totally genuine and are the real deal! I will be a loyal and true My Darkest Days fan always and forever!

My Darkest Days is a Must See!

by Asilvey on 12/7/10Plaza Live Theatre - Orlando

This was the WJRR Holiday Ho Down at the Plaza Live Theatre in Orlando. The Headliner was Sick Puppies and they were okay. The opening acts were Through You and Since October. My Darkest Days totally mopped the floor with the other bands. There was a group of 5 of us who went and we all agreed that My Darkest Days was the best band of the night. Our friends who came with left during the Sick Puppies because after seeing My Darkest Days they were a real bore. I was getting my drink on so I stayed until the end. MDD is totally awesome!

    by Smiles1296 on 11/15/10Piere's - Fort Wayne

These guys are fantastic and very talented. I would not have driven 5 hours to see My Darkest Days if they weren't AWESOME! I've seen them twice now and plan to see them anytime I can. They put on a great show. Best newer band I've seen in a long time. They take time to mingle with the crowd and you can tell they appreciate their fans. I hope they continue with their success. If you get a chance check them out. Piere's was a cool place, it took a while to actually get in and the shuttle was late but we got inside and found a great spot so all was good.

    These Guys Should be Headlining!

by Asilvey on 11/8/10Jannus Live - St. Petersburg

Best band I have ever seen in my life! These guys are totally awesome! They are so high energy! Matt Walst the lead singer has a great stage presence and writes the songs. All of their songs are worth listening to! They do not talk too much during their set like some other bands do. They are too good to be an opening act. I go just to see them and not the headliner. I am going to see them again in December and just cannot wait! They are an awesome rock band. If you have not seen My Darkest Days they are a must see!
