About

My Chemical Romance are a rock band composed of lead vocalist Gerard Way, bassist Mikey Way and guitarists Ray Toro and Frank Iero. Formed in 2001 in New Jersey, MCR have become highly influential for their blend of rock, pop-punk and emo music along with unflinchingly open lyrics and theatrical live performances. Beginning with 2002’s I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, MCR have released four studio albums, two live recordings and three compilations. The band unveiled their major label debut, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, in 2004 behind their first charting singles, “I'm Not Okay (I Promise),” “Helena” and “The Ghost of You.” In 2006, MCR’s third album The Black Parade reached a career-high No. 2 on the Billboard 200, while lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100. After touring 2010’s Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, MCR did not perform together again until 2019, followed by a reunion world tour between 2022 and 2023. The band headlined Las Vegas’ When We Were Young Festival in 2024. In 2025, My Chemical Romance embarked on a tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their landmark third studio album, The Black Parade.

  • MCR was phenomenal, from the merch line

by Sad fan on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

MCR was phenomenal and they put on a hell of a show. However, I was in the merch line for 4 hours and missed EVERYTHING except for the last song, which is the only song I caught from my seat. The logistical failure of the merch stand cost me the entire experience and was only able to hear them play from where I was standing, occasionally asking someone to hold my spot to run to the side to peek through some shoulders to watch a song or two. Why did I not leave the line to watch the show? The disappointing part is that I had already stood in line for merch outside of the venue doors and venue staff was ushering us in, convincing us that there were more efficient merch stands inside near our seats. The hours were passing to the point of no return. After expensive seats, flights across the country, and accommodations, the pure frustration and disappointment lingers deeply. Waited 18 years to see them play again but my experience at Dodger was atrocious, to say the least. I have been to many shows and have never experienced this level of disorganization. Couples in line had to split up so at least one of them could see the show, a teenager ended up crying, and people were met with some sold out merch as soon as they reached the front (after hours of waiting). Nothing against the band because they sounded phenomenal, but I regretfully will not be returning to this venue.

  • Amazing Show! Venue - meh

by Oldie on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was amazing. MCR put on a fantastic show. Dodger stadium wasn't the best. First, merch lines were understaffed. Waiting 2.5 hours for a t-shirt was asinine. Yes, it was a choice, but the venue or who ever was in-charge, failed. Seating - we were in the lodge area, which was suppose to be a great location. What was up with the netting on the field? And then when the band came onto the smaller stage closer to us, our view was obstructed due to some structure. Maybe its the venue or the production designer. Don't know. But nothing dampened my 16 year olds experience. Pure joy at seeing her favorite band. The band was exceptional!

  • Amazing

    by MCR5 on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

Of course MCR was amazing, but the usual insanity of trying to leave Dodger stadium remained. Not sure why anyone would want to have a concert here.

  • Loved it

by Ker on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to a lot of concerts and this was one of the best I have seen. This concert was a good one for my daughter’s first concert to experience.

  • BEST SHOW EVER!

    by Vannah1691 on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Seriously one of the best shows we've ever gone to! MCR knows how to put on a show!! If you are on the fence, BUY THE TICKETS! It was easy to get in, park and get to our seats. The staff was kind and attentive and again MCR knows how to entertain the crowd!

  • I WAITED 15 YEARS FOR MAGIC

    by luckyclovers777 on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I got into MCR from the years of 2009-2011 and right when I was old enough to see them live, BOOM the breakup happens. And then BOOM covid. And their reunion gets delayed. I went to both nights at Dodger stadium in LA and it was more magical than I could’ve ever wished for. My friend and I cried, we laughed, we screamed, we sang. It was incredible. Not to mention my birthday is on July 27th and I got to celebrate the last birthday in my 20s (turned 29) with MCR <3 14 year old me would NOT believe we made it this far and got to see them live. Let alone on my BIRTHDAY. Incredible !! Dreams DO come true!!!

  • An Unforgettable Performance

by Elpenor on 7/29/25Dodger Stadium - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The stadium thrummed with energy, the band gave it their all, and the sound mixing was perfect (they figured out how to make the echo of the stadium’s acoustics work in their favour). My only complaint would be the venue’s food/drink pricing, but that has nothing to do with the concert itself. I hope anyone who loves MCR can experience them live - the additional acting elements and storytelling, along with live violin/cello/drum playing by performers outside the band are wonderful.

  • One of the best of all time

by Beck on 7/28/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I’m not a super avid concert goer, but of the handful I’ve gone to this was hands down the best concert I’ve ever experienced. It’s always a mixed bag when bands reunite years after their peak, but MCR still puts on an amazing show. Gerard Way is an insane performer and his voice is still so good (which, let’s be real, doesn’t always stay that way with singers who did a lot of screaming in their 20s). The concept of the tour was sick, the band members’ skills are sharp, and the fans are just really fun. Highly recommend.

  • EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS

by Ale on 7/28/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a My Chemical Romance fan for 15 years, and this was my first time getting to see them in concert! It was beyond brilliant and thrilling-- truly the best concert experience I've ever had. I hope I get the opportunity to see them again!

  • it was a long way down from cloud 9

by kaylar on 7/25/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Seriously, the most amazing show I've ever been to. These guys put on the best performance and the energy was insane. I was depressed for two days after the show in SF. Can I please go back there???!

  • Worth it. Amazing performance and concert

by MCS on 7/24/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I felt like i was 15 again. They put up an amazing show and concert. ( I swear you get two events in one) It was also like 3 hours, they kept on giving and the mood just kept going up. They covered so many songs, I was over the moon.

  • Good time

by Rina on 7/23/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Stadium was quick with check in and security, enjoyed the show!

  • Amazing Show Bad Venue

by Lolo on 7/23/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

My Chemical Romance put on the performance of a lifetime and I loved it with all my heart! However, I really did not like that the Oracle Park did not remove the baseball netting for the show. I paid around $350 for my ticket and I had to watch the entire show through an annoying net. If the venue isn't able to remove the netting for shows, then they really should not be hosting shows during baseball season.

  • Very Enjoyable Show

by MCRMom on 7/22/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Well, this happens to be around the 16th or 17th time I have seen My Chemical Romance and I was very impressed with the effort they put into this show. The guys looked good and I really liked Ray's beard. I think it was a great addition to add other songs after the album and to get more personal with the crowd by changing to the small stage. The one thing that was bad about the show was that the music was to loud and it drowned out Gerards voice. I would have like to heard all their voices more clearly. At times I had to see Gerard lips to know what he was singing. No show will ever compare to the House of Blues debut of The Black Parade album. It is my favorite and project revolution being in second place. So I give this a third place favorite of all the shows I've seen just because of the theatrics included with the music. Also it was nice to see Mikey smiling. That was always a very rare sighting. I'm glad he is happy now. Good Luck Guys on the rest of the tour. Sincerely, Your very first MCRMom fan

  • Good show, unideal line mgmt

by Bb on 7/22/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

Show was great. MCR can really rock. I did miss the opener entirely, despite arriving an hour early bc one of the staff told us to walk to a specific gate for all field tickets. After waiting 20 min in that line, another staff told us that actually, only pit tickets needed to be in this specific line... meaning we could either keep waiting (probably another half hour) or risk the other line we go to being longer. After getting in (luckily other gate had shorter line) we also had to wait in another long line to get field ticket wristbands (+another 10 minutes). I don't think i will shell out again for field tickets at oracle...

  • Awesome!!

by Cynthia on 7/22/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

MCR was so awesome! They give such a great live performance. So entertaining and so skillful. Me and my daughter loved it so much! Even 100 Gecs who opened for them were awesome and entertaining. They were so fun!

  • i cried

by madi on 7/22/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

by Misha on 7/22/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I'm still in shock! I can't even find the words to express how grateful I am, that I got to see these guys live. My middle school heart is screaming with joy and love. These guys have been a huge part of my personality for so long. I remember finding one of their songs on saints row 2, that song happened to be teenagers. Their music has gotten me through so much and more. I will forever hold this day to my heart, hopefully I can see them live again one day. I'm also really grateful that I got to experience this with my best friend, we've always told each other that if we had the opportunity to go, we would bring the other. I remember when the tickets went live, I was shaking freaking out thinking I wasn't gonna get them. But when I did the first person I called was them. I was shaking, crying and and overwhelmed with emotions. In all im still in shocked and amazed. Thank you for everything! :)

  • Religious experience. Life complete.

by Tiffanie Sigmen on 7/22/25Oracle Park - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

I have been going to MCR shows since 2004. I went to 2 shoes during the Swarm tour with my 9 yr old son, and we both went to this show as well. To see them fill an arena full of fans, simultaneously singing at the tops of their lungs, was breathtaking. And then they played Bullet with Butterfly Wings... my soul ascended! They are the best live act in the world. Period. I will catch them on any upcoming tour that I can. I encourage anyone curious about seeing them to spend the money and enjoy the experience. This tour specifically was more than I could have dreamed of. This tour will go down in history. Mark my words. They are the greatest band in the world.
