Music of the Night Tickets

Was extremely disappointed in the selections. For example, where was only one song from Phantom! The entire second act was music from America - from the 50's through the 80's, save for their ABBA set from Mama Mia (which DID NOT include Dancing Queen)! It was songs from Grease, Dirty Dancing and they made a huge deal about singing Stand By Me. Really, London's West End Theatre??? The singers were capable and the band was small and unimpressive. Total of 8 in the band and 4 singers. The way it was advertised, it left the consumer with the impression that it was going to be like "A Grand Night for Singing". That show was a full compilation of songs from American Musicals from Gershwin to Rogers & Hammerstein. No such luck here. Save you money and just buy the songs you want to hear from London's West End Theatre on iTunes!

We saw a similar show in 2010 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater and were very excited that Chastain was hosting one this summer, as there wasn't one in 2011. This was our first experience at Chastain and would definitely go back again. We had a great surprise that our tickets were upgraded at the gate, due to it not being a sold out show. What a treat! We had a table, instead of seats on the lawn. I hope that they do this type of event again, because it exposes younger children to the best music of broadway shows and movies. A great last minute night out with our family!!
