Huge waste of time and money

by TheMarshs on 10/13/17WaMu Theater - Seattle

I got the tickets for my husband's bday. We planned ahead, got a sitter for our 9month old and were excited to enjoy a rare night out. Show said it started at 6:30p, we got in and seated around 6:50p knowing shows always start late. Well we sat for TWO AND A HALF HOURS, watched a rapper opening act, an English Congoleese comedian that was terrible, an ENTIRE set from a really talented Reggae band and then a strange 'woke' style video showcasing donations being put to work with lots of racial injustice depictions (?).....we left at almost 10pm WITHOUT SEEING NAS OR LAUREN HILL. We simply ran out of time. Waste of $225 and a date night. Wish I could get a refund.

    MLH and NAS

by EDCJ on 10/13/17WaMu Theater - Seattle

Would be nice to show the artist on a big screen for those sitting high up. Lauren Hill sadly was disappointing. Had hoped to hear her sing but almost all songs sounded like a forwarded yelling. Nas was excellent.

    Lauren hill was terrible

    by Kdizz9206 on 10/13/17WaMu Theater - Seattle

The venue was a warehouse, which to me, is never good. The sound wasn't great. You had to drink your drinks in the drink section...not that big of a deal but whatever. The main problem was that L Hill literally remixed her entire CD the Miseducation of Lauren Hill. More like the misunderstanding.....it was just all bad. I don't know anyone who wants to go to a concert and hear completely different songs than expected. A complete disappointment. Nobody was dancing near me and we left early and so did a lot of others.

    MLH/Nas Was Amazing

by illmaticD on 10/13/17WaMu Theater - Seattle

This collabo was fire from the day If I Ruled The World came out and was just as amazing for the tour. I also really enjoyed the theme and images displayed on the screen behind the performances and the message being delivered! The set was perfect for both performers and the mix between performances was perfect. They came together at the very end for the final performance and after that we got to meet them! My only creative feedback would be for VIP. I definitely recommend VIP for the meet and greet however for the venue and event I feel that VIP should be a bit more exclusive given the money spent. More specifically being able to have a superstar line to get in the venue, more comfortable seats and the option to have food and drinks delivered to your VIP area. What we had was just the first two rows of seats closer to the stage separated by security. Once security left for the last couple of songs everyone mobbed up and climbed over our seats to the stage. While VIP could be improved by Live Nation and Ticketmaster, the performance was still unforgettable!

    Refund request

by MichelleRM on 10/13/17WaMu Theater - Seattle

We had to leave before Lauren Hill came in because the marijuana consumption was excessive. This was an indoor venue and we had our teens with us. I got security but they were unhelpful.

    Nas & Lauren Hill Concert

by DallasBabe on 10/12/17The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

My friends and I got the lawn tickets and were really impressed. It was an awesome setting and didn't feet the need to have purchased the inside sitting tickets as we could still see the artists perform. Besides the little rain that fell that night, it didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. All one really needed was a blanket and you were good to go.

    A Duo For the Ages!

    by yurem23 on 10/12/17Hollywood Bowl - Hollywood

This concert was amazing! Nas rocked his set list and put it down for the crowd! The shocker was Lauryn Hill. I know she has received a lot of criticism in the past regarding her punctuality and her overall performance but that didn't seem to be a problem this time around. She really put up a great performance and it was nothing short of extraordinary. Looking back at it, this tour was probably a once in a lifetime duo performance and I'm glad I was able to witness it.

Nas was the best part of this event. He was great and hasn't lost anything over the years. Dave Chappelle was hilarious. But his ridiculous request to lock up our cell phones was a joke. Those neoprene cell phone pouches were laying all over the ground within an hour of our arrival. Unfortunately, Lauryn Hill was the worst part of this event. She has not kept up with her craft and her voice was gravely and faint. She kept coughing and turning away from the mic. She left the stage after just a few songs and Nas came out to save her. She came back after a while and sounded a little better, but was still really disappointing over all. In spite of that, I would still recommend the show and the venue.

Everything that a concert should be!

by Mebdubs11 on 10/11/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

4 performers, 3 comedy acts, a guest appearance by Dave Chapelle, and 4 hours of pure entertainment. There is not much more that could be asked from a concert that was not delivered in this one. I had an amazing time!

    EXCEPTIONAL Artestry

by Uvabby on 10/10/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

Beautiful, beautifully display of real music. From open act down to Mrs, Hill & NAS. True essence of music, both as good as they were 20 yrs ago, or better. Would see it again!! Love the passion Mrs, Hill puts into her music displayed by her vocals and her controlling ways on stage. Making sure every detail is up to par, one can't ask for more.

    20 years in the making!

by LocoLopezs on 10/10/17Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

I read stories before going regarding MLH often being late...so I was worried...but she came out on time and met all of my expectations 20 years in the making! She did change much of the arrangements of songs, but addressed that by saying because she has not put out music in a while, she wanted to present something new sounding for her fans. I respect that! She did sing Ex-factor and To Zion in original form and that made my heart happy!! NAS was amazing & Chappelle...c'mon...what an amazing last minute added bonus! Hilarious as always! The show was a roller coaster of a ride...in an amazing way! ❤❤

GREAAAATTTT SHOW, EVEN BETTER BECAUSE OF CAUSE

by MyNicknamewasmynickname on 10/9/17Hollywood Bowl - Los Angeles

This was a phenomenal show!!! Get used to the rearranged music, people don't want to keep doing the same songs the same way. They weren't even arranged that much! Lauryn and Nas were really great. ALL the opening acts were great too. Diddy is crazy! lol. It's amazing how Lauryn is able to remix these songs!! It's like she literally dissects them and takes an element out of the song, makes it a central feature and then builds the remix around that, it's dope! Wonderful time, great energy and great cause. Loving this PowerNomics Tour!!
