About

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar), Molly Guldemond (vocals, keys), Jasmin Parkin (vocals, keys), Ali Siadat (drums) and Mike Young (bass), Mother Mother are best known for their deep connection with their fans, and for bringing stadium-sized energy to their live show, no matter the stage.  Singing about themes of alienation and enormous longing for self and societal acceptance, the band's mission is to be a home for souls that feel they don't fit in anywhere else.

Mother Mother were recently catapulted into a new stratosphere of universal success following the release of their critically acclaimed studio album INSIDE.  Their explosive follow-up to "Hayloft," "Hayloft II" connected with fans around the world and is now certified Gold in the US and approaching Platinum in their home country of Canada. A string of #1 radio hits in Canada, 6 billion global streams, and multiple Billboard chart appearances cement their newfound global success.

The quintet spent most of the last year touring the world playing to sold-out audiences in theaters to stadiums, with multiple sold-out headline tours in Europe, UK, Canada, Australia and the U.S. as well as past and upcoming festival plays at Reading + Leeds, Lollapalooza in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico, Pukkelpop Belgium, Frequency Festival in Austria, Lowlands in The Netherlands and more.

  • I was not prepared

by Mom on 3/5/25Place Bell - LavalRating: 4 out of 5

My kid asked for tickets for her birthday. I did not know the group, nor any of the song. I was expecting angry indy poprock songs reminiscent of the 90s. With a side of hysteria and violence. I was wrong. There was so much love in that room, so much acceptance so open and friendly, even civilised front rows. We even had an impromptu choir between acts. I compensated my look of suburban Karen by having nice conversations and complimenting people on their original fashion. I also used.the content of my purse to solve someone's problem. With that being said, watching a show without being a fan allows you to pay attention to details, such as the quality of the song writing, the respect they have for their art, their skills as musicians and their genuine love for their fans. We are far from GnR... Tldr: I am glad I was able to be part of the expérience of the Mother Mother concert.

  • Great concert!!

    by E.S on 3/4/25Meridian Centre - St CatharinesRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother puts on a great show!! Their music is unique and will be timeless. Proud to be Canadian they are. If you have opportunity to see them...GO!!! Saw them Feb 28 in St.Catherine's Ont. Ticket price very cheap vs other band prices and was worth the 1.5 hour drive each way to see them. Highly recommend.

  • AWESOME!!

by Micha on 3/3/25Canada Life Centre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Mother Mother is fantastic! I honestly prefer seeing them in a smaller venue but I realized that they've gotten really big so Canada Life Center was a better fit.

Great show through and through. Great performance, complimentary opening acts, crowd interaction was great, good venue and the sound/lights/visuals were all very good throughout. Great Canadian band would recommend!

The concert was just amazing. It was my boyfriend’s first concert and he really enjoyed it. The venue was clean and easy to get around. The music was amazing! Rules were not posted anywhere and the man beside me lit a joint nearing the end and security took care of it right away. The lights were really cool and made the experience awesome!

Mother Mother has been one of my favorite bands for like the last six years. They sound amazing in studio but even better live. I can’t recommend it enough. Also thank you for waiting the trans flag that made me and a lot of people happy.

  • Experts of the rock show

by theyegmeg on 2/25/25Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

We have been loving Mother Mother since around 2007/2008 and it was amazing to see a younger generation who have come to also love them because they discovered them through TikTok. The show was amazing, energetic, musically masterful, loved the acoustic set with the 3 part harmonies, and they also played their niche songs that the whole crowd enjoyed. I will see them every time they come to Edmonton, they never disappoint.

  • Amazing Show!

by Dan on 2/25/25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Everyone was amazing including the openers. I had a great time and discovered a new band. The mixing for Cavetown was a little guitar heavy and I found them quieter but still a great performance. I loved the lights, especially the aesthetic of Mother Mother's acoustic set. I'm so glad they came back to Calgary and I will for sure see them next time!

  • Waaaay too loud with sooo many flashing lights

by QC on 2/24/25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5

All was going well with the lights and sound for the opening bands. I’m not sure why the volume doubled when Mother Mother came on, but it was almost unbearable. We had ear plugs, which allowed us to tolerate it. But the flashing lights were insane…at times you couldn’t even see them on stage. We brought our 10 year old daughter to her first concert and it was a flop. We saw MM in Vegas 2 years ago and the show was perfect…great sound and normal lights. It was by far the loudest concert I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been to a LOT of concerts.

  • Amazing

by Han on 2/24/25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing time, they really knew how to preform. Really cool band

  • Mediocre openers

by Mia on 2/24/25Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

I loved Mother Mother. The two hours of really so-so openers was a bit of a bummer. I didn't mind Winnetka Bowling League, but Cavetown was not my thing. If the Saddledome or Mother Mother had posted an approximate time when they would have started, I wouldn't have come as early. That being said, Mother Mother itself was FANTASTIC! The lighting was great, and the music was just phenomenal. Music is subjective; some people would like the openers, and others like me won't.
