This was not the circus I was expecting. . .

by Anonymous on 10/8/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The general admission seats we had were fine there were not many people at the event. There were no animals in this circus. On their website they had the sphere for the motorcycle tricks, which was not at this performance either. The trapeze artisits only had 1 trapeze. This was a people act circus. This circus might have been good for very small children. We sat there wayched and waited for a man to balance a basket of eggs on a pole, yet we all watched him screw the basket to the pole.I understand they might not have been able to bring animals or large equipment due to the performance being in Hawaii. I paid 30.00 per ticket with the fees and it was not worth the money.

It was OK, but the front row seating was horrible!

by noneedtohaveanickname on 10/8/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The circus was OK, but it suffered from being too small - one single small ring with only minor acts. This was more like a local school circus put on by the "Our Gang" kids in the neighborhgood barn. But there were a couple of acts that were very good and definately NOT child's play! The BIG sore spot I came away with was with the seating. We paid a premium price for front row seats, but the seats were very, very small fold-up seats all connected to each other - there was zero space between each small seat cusion. A medium-sized man sat next to me and by the time we left, I knew him better than my first serious girlfriend! My whole left side was sticky from the sweat and my only thought when leaving was to get home ASAP so I could take a shower. I doubt I will ever return to this auditorium - just not worth the ugliness of the seating.

    Not as advertised

by HKLC on 10/8/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I bought tickets for this because I read a local (Hawaii) publication saying that there were going to be animals. I know that isn't PC anymore, but I was excited to see it, and excited to have my son see it since it is so rare these days. Same acts as another circus we saw less than a year ago, just a different name.

    Overpriced

by ewacat on 10/8/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

While the circus was somewhat entertaining, I feel it was over priced. I know the venue is probably smaller than what they are used to but still, it wasn't worth what I paid. I would have been really upset had I paid for more expensive seats. Also, seeing the Groupon after I bought tickets taught me a lesson. I wouldn't pay the full price for this but the discounted Groupon price would have been worth it.

    Good show

by JenniferinHonolulu on 10/8/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

My son who is two enjoyed the first half but it was difficult to keep his attention after the intermission. I would recommend the show for older kids and adults.

    Okay

by RKJE on 10/8/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Some acts were good, but the transitions from one to the next fell flat. It didn't keep our 6 & 7-year old boys entranced. Next time we'll be looking for a circus that has animals.

    Moscow Circus was brilliant

by OahuGuy on 10/7/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

at the Blaisdell Center -- amazing high trapeze acrobatics (my wife had to turn her face away when these 2 young mongolian ladies were doing a particular 'jump' in a duet performance way up high). Electric cars park free.

by Anonymous on 10/7/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

As a child growing up I've seen much better circus I know there was no animals what's a circus without animals but you should have more stuff like the flying trapeze more clowns do more stuff like riding bikes you just should have had more acts would not go again the seats that I purchased was wet so we couldn't sit there if anything I would like half my money back cause it wasn't worth it thank you...

    Looks can be deceiving.

by Jesfromhawaii on 10/7/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I purchased $200+ in tickets for my family. When the show started, I notice the performers looked familiar...ahh, its the same performers as the one in Kapolei Circus. If you've seen that one-well basically is the same thing. Nothing new. I think the last performance was best. But overall not money well spent.

    Moscow International Circus

by Anonymous on 10/7/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

The circus was overpriced and mediocre. While there were some interesting acts, the whole thing felt tacky, small, and totally unmatched to the price being asked. We bought seats with a little elevation but close to the ring, yet the majority of the acts were on the floor so young children couldn't see what was going on. Light up toys were hawked but at outrageously ridiculous prices. At the prices being asked I would not go again nor would I recommend it to a friend. There are better ways to spend your money for your children.

    Nothing amazing

    by Haynmom2two on 10/7/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

Thought it was simple acts. Juggling, hula hoop, overly long clown acts which lost my attention. No trained animals or any acts that made us in "awe." Music was slow going too.

Kind of boring. Nothing like the good old days if the circus. Charged $5 to take pictures with some characters and all of them were blurry. With my own camera too

Was expecting the greatest circus in Hawaii but it was small and dead. Some acts were the same from last year's Modern American circus except not as great. They have face painting and bouncy slides for the kids during intermission but you have to pay for it. Expensive food too! Show was only 2 hours which was quick and I really liked the final act. Other than that, not worth the money. Maybe if the protesters didn't prohibit the animals, it would've been a good show.

Good show but a little loud for a 1 1/2 year old. The intermission was good for the kid (break time) with all the activities. Overall good time.

I felt the show was okay. I was expecting an exceptional show given that there were no animals in this circus. It was a nice 2 hours of entertainment. Loved the guy with the rings, he was amazing and the couple with the aerials.

    Fun Event

    by Gymprincess1448 on 10/6/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

This was a fun event, but it was a step below similar circus or acrobat shows. It is a good event to take children to. They have activities for the kids before and during the show.

    Entertaining show

by RoseErin on 10/6/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

I bought 2 tickets for me and my boyfriend to opening night at the Neal Blaisdell Center in Hawaii. There were a couple of good acts, the trapeze artists and the "Master of Balance" were great. It was definitely geared more towards children but we had a good time. From the sounds of the audience, the kids were having a great time. Recommended for families and for people young at heart.

    Save your money

by DirkAndTheDirkettes on 10/6/14Neal S Blaisdell Arena - Honolulu

A few second-class acts gathered in one place and called a circus. Even the cheap seats cost too much for this. The acts were either slow, boring, or sloppy. There was a funny moment with the the "World's strongest man - straight from Siberia" and the guy spinning around in a hoop was almost as good as what you can see on Youtube. Stick with Youtube for an evening, cheaper and more entertaining.
