About

Morgan Wallen first gained recognition when he completed a stint as a competitor on The Voice in 2014. The Tennessee-born artist continued to refine his sound over the next few years, signing to the indie label Panacea Records and co-writing songs with stars like Jason Aldean. When Wallen’s debut studio album If I Know Me arrived in 2018, everything changed — the album debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, and propelled him to country stardom. Since then, Wallen’s whiskey-soaked anthems and emotional ballads (including the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Last Night”) have dominated the charts, and earned him more than 170 weeks atop the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, the most in country music history. Wallen’s multi-platinum second album Dangerous: The Double Album (2021) became the longest-running Top 10 album for a solo artist in Billboard 200 history and named Billboard’s No. 1 album of the 21st Century, and his 2022 Dangerous Tour broke multiple attendance records, selling 839,704 tickets. Dubbed the “biggest country star in the world” by Billboard magazine, Wallen released his record-breaking third album One Thing at a Time in March 2023, and has consistently headlined arenas and stadiums in the years since. Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, was released in May 2025 and achieved two No. 1 singles on the Hot Country Songs chart — for “Love Somebody” and the title track.

  • Vibes for days

by TeeRone on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

It was such a great experience, although there was such a huge crowd and it was a bit chaotic and scary to be honest. People were jam packed and trying to squeeze by each other.

  • The venue is overwhelming

by Dale Earnhardt on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

Too many people and not enough supports in place for washrooms, alcohol and food.

  • Amazing show horrible venue

by Top shelf on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

Commonwealth is a joke. Show was awesome but that venue was not worthy of that show.

  • Good

by Asaph on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The concert itself was excellent. However, the venue staff or lack there of was deplorable. Everyone new the stadium was sold out so, way better planning needed to be done. Why was the concourse impossible to move around in? Why were you selling warm drinks when you knew that many people were coming. This city has hosted many events that have been packed in that venue however, I have never seen it this bad. It took away from the experience.

  • Incredible experience

by ludmilabelotto on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

I attended to both nights! The events were unbelievable! Super organized! Morgan Wallen performed for more than 2 hours each night! Soooo good and sooo worthy!

  • Great concert terrible Venue.

by Johnny on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was great the venue was absolutely terrible, never going back to Common Wealth stadium worst place to get food and drinks way to crowded.

  • AMAZING!!!!!

by Ash on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

It meant more to me than anyone will ever truly know, this year has been nothing but a roller coaster and Morgan’s I’m the problem album has been on replay, his music is more than just lyrics when you can relate to them in so many ways! I will definitely be attending his concert again, this time on the floor!!! :)

  • Concert amazing venue could improve

by Jo on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The concert itself was amazing. The congestion of people on the concourse was absolute craziness. I am not sure what the solution to fix this would be. I do want to shout out to the security on upper sections from stopping people from blocking the view once the show started.

  • Every performer was wonderful- the venue, not at all

by Kelly on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The line ups were absolutely insane! Over an hour to get in, security lines were unbelievably slow and so understaffed. It wasn't a surprise to have 50,000+ people there, so it definitely needed to be facilitated better. Open the doors earlier, have more staff and separate lines for folks that have bags to be checked and lines for those that don't! We missed Zach John King because we were still waiting to get in. Then an hour for water and half our party missed Ella Langley while waiting in line for water. The concerts were wonderful- every artist and show was excellent, but I will not attend anything at the venue again.

  • Morgan was great, the venue was not.

by AngieL22 on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The venue at commonwealth stadium was not great at all. The acoustics were not great, every time an artist would speak, you couldn’t hear or understand what they were saying. It was so overly crowded, you couldn’t even get to your seats. They ran out of drinks before the headliner even began. I was sitting in the lower bowl, so I wasn’t so far up I couldn’t hear or seeing anything. But I wouldn’t go back to a stadium concert. For the price of the tickets, it wasn’t worth it.

  • MW great, venue not.

by Kenna on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was great as in Morgan Wallen was amazing. But drinks were overpriced, bathroom lines were insane and there was no toilet paper and the toilets weren’t flushing. It was impossible to move around the concourse

  • Performances were a 10, venue was -10

by My name on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

The venue was horrible. No crowd control. Took 45 mins to get from your seat to a washroom. Will never attend another event there.

  • Great concert- scary crowd management.

by Jane on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Morgan Wallen was an amazing show. The lack of crowd management before and after the show was scary. It's a miracle that no one was trampled, injured or hit by a car. People were spilling out onto the road which was not closed down. From an emergency response point of view having that many people in one place with no control is a disaster waiting to happen. I hope for future concerts Edmonton and the Common Wealth do better.

  • Concert/Morgan: 5 stars, Venue: 0 stars

by Samantha on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

I had an incredible time seeing Morgan Wallen - the show itself was absolutely amazing, and I would love the chance to see him again in the future. Unfortunately, Commonwealth Stadium was not prepared or organized for the volume of people that attended. It’s alarming the amount of tickets sold vs the capacity the stadium can actually seat. Greedy? There was zero traffic control, and once inside, it was shoulder-to-shoulder with no space to move. I was constantly pressed up against strangers unwillingly, and I witnessed multiple people around me having panic attacks because of the unsafe crowding. I honestly can’t imagine how emergency personnel would have been able to get through if something serious had happened - which was concerning. On top of that, alcohol sales were stopped around 8:30 PM. It’s unclear whether this was due to running out of stock or issues with crowd volume, but it added to the sense that the venue couldn’t properly handle the event. While Morgan Wallen brought incredible energy and clearly drove huge revenue to the city, I worry that artists of his caliber may not want to return if the venue continues to be this poorly managed. I personally would never attend another concert at Commonwealth Stadium for these reasons, no matter how much I love the performer.

  • not impressed

by ash on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

Commonwealth should not be able to host large events. It was complete chaos. Majority of the people in our section were chain smoking and security didn’t care. Ella, who I love, sounded terrible. The view didn’t say obstructed on the tickets but was and the venue refused to move us seats unless we paid $600 each for an upgrade. Then to top it all off upon leaving the security guard chased down my 11 year old niece and grabbed her arm because she was unaware that you had to give the light up wrist bands back at the door upon leaving. Not sure why they’re allowing security to put their hands on a child. Overall, terrible experience.

  • Best concert, Tight venue

by Jeanelle on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

The concert/show itself was an amazing experience. MW was energetic and connected with his fans well. The venue was huge but the concourse area was chaotic, confined and overly packed with little to no walking space. Not ideal for emergency exit if needed.

  • Awesome

by Dad on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent experience all the entertainment put on a great performance

  • Awesome

Wicked show, he put on a great show and the people and artists he had with him were unreal as well! Highly recommend

  • Morgan was amazing

by Ash on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 3 out of 5

The venue was not very well organized , you couldn't even move around.

  • Morgan great, venue terrible

by Lindsay on 9/16/25Commonwealth Stadium / Stade du Commonwealth - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton is an absolute dumpster fire. If there was ever an emergency, people would die trying to leave. Poor signage, no organization, not enough places to buy or get water, unmanaged crowds. I'll never get seats in Commonwealth again, floor only.
