This was my wife's and my first time seeing Morcheeba and attending the Lincoln Theater. We enjoyed both very much. The opening act was very good and didn't perform too long. Morcheeba came on at 9 PM and performed solidly for almost two hours. The audience was pretty well behaved. We like that an usher made sure that the aisle near the stage was clear.
Morcheeba never disappoints. From start to finish, this was a great show, filled with the magical voice of Skye and the music by the impeccable band. Great variety of songs and mixes used. Can't wait to go again.
Skye said that she was going to "take us to church" and she and her band executed her promise to perfection. She is the undisputed Queen of Trip-Hop...Cheers!!
Morcheeba put on an excellent show!!! I've seen them a few times before when they've come to DC and they don't disappoint. Skye has such rich vocals and the musical layers of sultry rhythms just take you to another realm. There was an 11 y/o girl there with a big sign that it was her first concert. Skye acknowledged her and later brought her up on stage. So cool! The guy next to me had never heard of them, his friend had an extra ticket. It wasn't long before he started taking pics and grooving in the aisle. I think he's a fan now. Great energy in the whole place that night. The only downside is this should've been a sold out show.
Wonderful show. The lead singer Sky was interactive with an intimate audience setting.
24 years later and still great! Hats off to an incredible band and experience!
I loved everything about it, the venue, morcheeba, the crowd, the staff! everything worked smoothly and I couldn’t say anything bad about it!
The Morcheeba show at Algonkin was out of sight! The opening act was very lively and then Morcheeba took the stage. From start to finish the whole thing was mesmerizing. A combination of world music and psychedelia! It was a treat to behold.
I’ve been a fan since Big Calm but had never seen them live. All of their songs took on a new life and were even better live; a few of them absolutely blew me away (Friction, Blindfold, Let Me See…). Great energy, perfect crowd interaction, amazing music. If I get a chance to see them again, I won’t miss it.
Morcheeba put up an amazing show. Too bad we couldn't understand a word they were singing or talking as the sound was terrible

A Boston show for Morcheeba is a standard on North American jaunts and I've been lucky enough to see the last few. Not having Paul backing everything up is a loss, but the touring musicians are quite capable. Solid performance of a range of songs from the catalog. I like a few tracks on The Antidote and Dive Deep that I haven't seen them do with Skye on stage, but such is life. All of the new tracks from Head up High were energetic and fun. We got to the venue early and grabbed a couch. It was like having them play live in my living room. So awesome for a date night! Jason

The band was better than I could have ever imagined. They were so humble and personable! I felt like I was hanging out with some long-lost friends. I will suggest this event to anyone and everyone who will listen. Skye's voice is like an angel from heaven. It was a pleasure to spend an evening with her :)
I've been waiting over 15 years to see Morcheeba live. They didn't disappoint. Great energy, beautiful vocals. You can tell that they love being on stage and giving the audience a great evening.
While they played a bunch of songs I was unfamiliar with [must have been last album that I never got into] -- when they played the classics -- the place went crazy. Definitely a small venue band despite being a big time act. So awesome watching real instruments play what always sounded so electronic - gives the music a new life.
