The announcer was soooo loud over the speakers you could barely understand them. The girls were board the entire time. Our 6 year old really like it, luckly he is still young enough that he didn't see the number of girls/women that were completely under dressed and hanging out of their clothing. I don't know if we would subject ourselves to that again!

  • Great 1st time supercross experience

Just a word to the wise...try not to get there too early. The practice laps get pretty boring pretty fast.

  • Supercross was amazing

  • In the words of my 4yr old...Wicked Awesome!!!

    by Childish1 on 1/19/10Chase Field - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

This was an absolutely amazing time for the whole family! Introductions were done with fireworks for emphasis which my 2 yr old covered his ears for but never took the eyes off of or the smile off of his face. We were right behind the finish line so we had a great overall view of the track and got to watch Ryan Dungey take it all in the finals!

  • The roar was toxicating!!!!

by MotocrossMamma on 1/19/10Chase Field - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

All in all great seats, amazing show, easy to get in with print your own tickets and garage pass. This was our first event for supercross to attend but we had a wonderful time. No hassels at the entrance or for parking and we were only the second row from the arena so the best view possible I think. It was amazing!

  • AMA Supercross

    by ebeth85704 on 1/18/10Chase Field - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 2nd AMA Monster Energy Supercross we have been to. Went into the pits this time before hand and had a great time. We saw a great show for the money. Loud, bright and entertaining! $11.50 for a bottle of beer is crazy though!

  • Supercross was excellent

    by tj55 on 1/18/10Chase Field - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time, took the whole family and enjoyed the evening with my kids

  • by Anonymous on 1/18/10Chase Field - PhoenixRating: 3 out of 5

The event could have moved faster. It seemed to drag with all of the pre-show drama. The priced for food and beverages are just plan stupid. It should be easier to find all of the event times. Also the pit passes should be offered on ticketmaster as well. They should bring back the little kids races.

  • LOVED IT!

by Teeters on 1/17/10Chase Field - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Great event! My son was so excited to get to meet many riders and then watch them race later. Disappointed with the parking situation and that City of Phoenix allows garages and vendors to gouge attendees with $20 parking.

As I sit in the stadium I close my eyes and take a deep breath Everything goes silent for a moment The lights turn off and screams of anticipation and excitement can be heard from all around I smile and open my eyes as the music begins The familiar voice of the announcer can be heard over the speaker as he draws the attention of the crowd to the field Green laser lights flash as a fog machine fills two sides of the arena The fans are on the edge of their seats as he introduces the riders One by one the top competitors show off to the crowd in hopes to rally support for this very important night After their moment in the spotlight they head back to their bikes within the stadium walls to wait their turn to race The big shots sit and watch the first two heat races to see who they have to compete with this season The fans watch with unblinking eyes Every moment is extreme From the starting line to the whole shot From the double jumps to the whoop section From the rider who crash to the ones who get up to carry on the race From having to leave the track because of injuries To coming back to try again With dedication they watch From seeing their riders go from first place to last or dead last to a glorious first The fans scream and shout Either for their favorite or opposing rider For the massive air some of the riders get on the jumps To the accidents that happen once they land Some come to watch their beloved riders do well Others come to pick a favorite Some fans make friendly bets And others just come to give their support Some come for the pits Some come to watch practice Others want to make it an all day event Some come single Others come in groups or with their main squeeze Then there are those who bring the whole family for a good time For whatever reason they have gathered in one place to witness this spectacular occasion Only one rider can come out #1 Amidst all the hustle and bustle of the day The who crowd goes silent as the final heat draws near The riders that have qualified for this last race wait impatiently for their turn to line up Like race horses getting ready to be let out of the gates the riders wait They’ve spent the last few moments making any adjustments needed for this race They’re anxious and ready Sweat drops off of their brows as they concentrate on the win They all want the trophy, the glory, the honor, the chance to be on top The 30 second card drops and they rev the throttle 5…4…3…2…1 The gates drop and they all take off at once Like a pack of hungry wolves on a chase they all seem to take the first turn together The first few riders pull ahead and start to tear away from the pack as they make the second turn As the first rider hits the first triple jump and soars in the air in front of me my heart drops Time seems to slow for an instant and I slip into a moment of a fantasy I tell myself this is why I am a fan and this is what I love about my sport I love the way they move The way they sound Their power Their shine The different colors The way they smell How deadly yet graceful they can be when given the right rider The joy that they give to many people They’re one of the only things in life that can make me get that giddy, childish gleam in my eyes Dirt bikes So scary yet so thrilling The adrenaline rush as you’re in the air And the feeling of being free and in control You catch your breath as you make a great landing My heart races when I see them fly by And as I open my eyes the moment is gone and it’s back to reality He lands the jump and tears through the rest of the course The other riders take to the air and are in hot pursuit of the leader The next 19 laps are intense for every rider Dodging fallen bikes, ruts, camera men and other riders who may get in their way Knowing when to accelerate and when to break Knowing when to pass and when to wait for that opportune moment The struggle for first is the main focus Once the final lap declared the top few riders step it up The crowd watches and everything but the bikes seems to be hushed for a few final seconds As the first place rider comes around the final corner the hype of the stadium explodes Cameras flash and people scream as the rider makes it across the finish line with the checkered flag Some people boo and some yell with joy The happy rider takes his trophy, smiles for the camera, and thanks his sponsors, friends, family and crowd for all the support I sit in awe and take it all in Many of the spectators start to leave I sit in my seat and watch the faces of the riders leaving the track There are some with grins on their faces and others with scowls Some of them are happy with their performance And there are others who will have to try harder next race I’d give anything to be them Not wanting to leave this happy escape I reluctantly fall in line with the rest of the crowd that’s headed for the exit Taking one last look at the track before it disappears out of sight I sigh and think to myself I love this sport I love supercross
