Monica is a multi-platinum-selling R&B singer from College Park, Georgia. Born Monica Denise Brown, the eponymous star burst onto the scene in the mid-’90s thanks to the release of her debut studio album, Miss Thang (1995). After amassing a trio of charttoppers on the R&B charts with “Don’t Take It Personal (Just One of Dem Days),” “Like This and Like That” and “Before You Walk Out of My Life,” Monica earned a record-breaking No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “The Boy Is Mine,” her 1998 duet with Brandy. The song spent 13 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart, served as the title track off Monica’s sophomore album and ultimately became one of the best-selling female duets of all time. Other studio sets in the singer’s discography include All Eyez on Me (2002), After the Storm (2003), The Makings of Me (2006), Still Standing (2010), New Life (2012) and Code Red (2015). In 2025, Monica reunited with Brandy for the duo’s first-ever co-headlining tour across the U.S., The Boy Is Mine Tour.

    This tour was nothing short of amazing, from sisterhood, vocals, the way both ladies were authentically themselves. It was journey through the 90’s and 00’s. This musical marriage is one that works despite the difference in catalogs. Brandy brings her LA girl flare, while Monica takes us straight to ATL. I sang the entire night!! Monica’s beauty and sultry voice always gets me. Kelly Rowland was also a huge highlight! Must see show’

    Monica really did her thing on this tour! I was very happy to see her dancing and singing. I know it was tough for her with the vocal cord paralysis but she still did what needed to be done! I would love for her to add Here I Am, With You, and Just Another Girl/All Eyez on me to the set.

    When I tell Monica is underrated I mean just that! I’ve been to 5 of her concerts some I’ve traveled to go so never disappointed. She’s always given a great show,I am definitely excited to catch her on the boy is mine tour !!!!! MD… she’s legend.

    Had the pleasure of seeing her live in Atlanta some years ago and she delivered a stellar performance! Even after 30+ years, her voice sounds mature and just as beautiful as it did in her prime! I’ll always pay my money to see her and I can’t wait to see her and Brandy coming soon!

    The show was supposed to start 7:30, we weren't let in to be seated until 7:45. It was freezing, the sound was not good and we could not see the artist due to no screens. Lil' Kim was the best and Mya's sound was awful. Waited way to long for Monica and had to leave before it ended because it was late. Overall it was just okay.

    I enjoyed the show, however the main reason why I came to Girls Night Out was to see Monica perform and she didn’t perform till maybe almost midnight. At that point, I was already on the last train heading back to the city. My only feedback would be to start the show on time.
