Molotov in Concert
With three Latin Grammys under their belt, Molotov -- sometimes described as the Mexican Rage Against the Machine-- brought their heavy grooves to live audiences for another round in 2013. As 2012's live tour CD, "Desde Rusia Con Amor," showed, these rap/metal rockers are doing anything but mellowing with age. In 2013's Jagermeister Music Tour, ticket holders were treated to Molotov's signature double bass sound along with heavy guitar riffs augmenting their explicit, politically charged lyrics. Their concerts are heavy on audience participation, with crowds chanting along with their anthemic hits when they're not moshing in the inevitable pit. Just to prove that the audience isn't having more fun than the band, Molotov members often switch instruments during the show, giving a loose, communal feel to the music. They consider themselves primarily a live band, so even when they're not coming off a proper album release, they're always writing and performing new songs live.
Molotov got their start in Mexico City in 1995 and, after a few early lineup changes, quickly settled into the quartet we've seen since. In 1997, their debut album "¿Dónde Jugarán las Niñas?" made them instant targets for censorship as stores banned their CDs for their explicit content. This didn't stop them from becoming the day's leading Latin hip hop band, and they followed up their initial success with the albums, "Apocalypshit" and "Dance and Dense Denso," which contained their biggest hit, "Frijolero." They've won three Latin Grammys, including Best Rock Album for "Eternamiente" and for "Desde Rusia Con Amor." Never ones to shy away from controversy, Molotov continues to speak out against corruption and authority and deliver unforgettable grooves to go along with the message.
The location was lacking, they ran out of everything half way thru the event the bathrooms were awful. One band didnt play but the ones that did were amazing!
I LOVED IT IF THEY HOST ANOTHER I WOULD DEFINITLY GO AGAIN. :)
Overall, it was amazing. It sucks Mago de Oz weren't allowed to play and most people left thinking that they didn't want to play for us. Another bad thing was that it was way too crowded and I think the venue was past its maximum occupancy. Beer was sold out 2 hours into the show :( but I would definitely go again!
The venue was really good. Leaving the parking structure could be a little more organized because it took us a while to leave due to the fact that a lot of people went. I was really upset Mago de Oz did not play! One of the bands I really wanted to see and I paid the money for did not get a chance to play was really disappointing. Overall each band played well the sound was good and the venue is a good place
Every thing was great until one of the band that was promoted didn’t play at the show. I pay to see all the groups that where supposed to present. The worst thing was that no from the event said anything. Every fan found out when the security where telling us that the show was over.
Was very sad to don’t see Mago de oz . More organization next time with the starting time and the time bands play please
We were never told that Mago de Oz would not show up, the concert just ended abruptly, very unprofessional!! Other than, it was a great concert.
Mago de oz did not show up, it was a waste of my time and a waste of my money.
1st time at House of Blues. Can't rave enough! Place was awesome! Up close and loud! Molotov killed it!

I loved it! Atmosphere was great. Drinks were delicious too. And what was more awesome was that you can walk right in without having to wait until a certain time.
First time watching this band...they've been around for ages, and they did not disappoint! They rocked out and they really know their audience. SRO for majority of crowd, but they were really into the show. Knew all the lyrics to the songs. The band provided great visuals on two screens on either side of the stage. Venue was good, my first time there. BB Kings provides good food, but because they were overwhelmed with people, the service was lacking. Took a while to get my check, so I had to get up and go get it myself.
I really like the band, I hope they wouldn't let smoke in the place but overall pretty good even !
This group rocked tha HOUSE!!! I am so glad these guys haven't retired from the music scene yet... they 're original and crazy!.... DONT CHANGE!!! Loved that it was a smaller venue too! Those are the best ones.. que viva Molotov...ctr....
MOLOTOV is one of my favorite bands of all time, too bad that a couple of people ruin the concert by throwing cups and beer to the band. I was really dissapointed that security did not step in and said something, again it was easy to identify them. That really ruin the concert, you could see how the band go annoyed and did not even came out for encore. Again the fillmore in Charlotte fail to do their job Hope MOLOTOV comes back and give Charlotte another chance, it is a small venue but for me it is a great opportunity to see my favorite band and to remember by life back in Mexico.
