So glad I bought tickets to the after party! Vanilla Ice and the NKOTB were very patient entertaining and taking pictures with their fans!

What a let down! Event went from 10:30-2 and 90% of the time the DJ was the after party.

    New Kids are the best!!!

    by littlehope126 on 6/30/15Hersheypark Arena - Hershey

We got there and it was just a DJ playing music, so after a while we went to go sit down. But!!! I wish we hadn't, because suddenly Salt n Peppa were on the stage and the floor was crowded. Then as we made our way as close as we could get, out came Vanilla Ice and the New Kids on the Block!!! We could only see them from the side of the stage, but they made the party so much fun!! Donnie and Joey stayed the latest. Once they left we stayed for a little while, hoping they'd come back, but then we left. The After Party is just another opportunity to get close to your favorite bands. After they leave, it's kinda lame.

    Mixtape in the rain

by MCAgirl on 8/6/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

Second year in a row it poured one day at Mixtape! Friday's entire line-up was amazing! My expectations were well past anything I ever expected. Saturday...I know there were issues because of the rain delay. But it seemed TLC and the Jonas Brothers played way longer sets than NKOTB and Boyz2Men. Emblem 3 was awesome as well! I especially like the stage set up this year over lasts. The one stage was much better than running back and forth.

Great for the Rain, This Event

by Kandica on 8/5/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

There was so much rain, oh my god!!!! It was crazy. My sister and I got there at like 5:45pm and people were waiting to get in. I was ready to give up and then sent a tweet to say "what's the deal?" and didn't get a tweet back but doors opened and "Emblem 3" showed up.... They are fantastic. Had to leave but caught the voices of Boys to Men in the parking lot. So dope! I have to shout out loud, "Throw your clothes on the floor and I'm gonna take my clothes off too." It was funny, my baby and Mark were there too but we did not get to see NKOTB. Sad about that but were thankful not to have to TLC. They always hit amiss on the loving care stuff.... not a fan and you know it! Anyway, Emblem 3 made the whole thing worthwhile :)

Rain couldnt put a damper on this

    by Queensny192 on 8/4/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

The bands were excellent!! My seats were amazing!! Bronze Vip was worth it. Got to Meet people from Boyz 2 Me. Hanson, and got to meet Donnie Wahlberg again. Only down side was because of the over an hour rain delay NKOTB did not show up to the after party, only Doniie did.

    Mixtape was Great

    by Iheartnkotb5 on 8/3/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

The event was amazing! All the bands were great! However the way things were run were a little unorganized! The m&g were way too short and very rushed and the after parties were kind of a disappointment! The bands that were hosting them didn't interact with the crowd or didn't even show up! I think if the after parties are gonna be hosted by a a band they should show up and interact! If not than I believe they should be called DJ so and so and possible guest appearances by whomever is hosting that way people aren't disapointed thinking they are going to get to hang out with the artist! Those were my only complaints!

TLC Reunion - PRICELESS NKOTB - IRREPLACABLE! and should have been longer Hanson - MEMORABLE Boys 2 Men - CLASSIC Jonas Bros - good to see them, but too much new stuff for a show they weren't headlining Gavin Degraw and The Script - such crowd pleasers! -Should have had Backstreet back again - definitely missed! Rock 'N' Jock events need to be longer and VIP prices should have some other options - HELLO! The economy is rough all around! The rain on Saturday was RIDICULOUS! But your staff did an amazing job with it! They also did a really good job at keeping up with people trying to seat jump! Never did see a vendor village though!

Rain and a Short Set Spoiled It!!

    by eeniej1 on 7/31/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

I got the tickets to the Mixtape Festival because of Boyz II Men! I was highly disappointed that it rained that day. They had to interrupt the show because of the rain. We waited for over an hour for it to resume. The group that was performing before they stopped did their entire set. Next was Boyz II Men!! They did THREE (3) songs. I was very disappointed. It seemed that every other group did their entire sets except Boyz II Men. They had to cut out some of the time because of the interruption. I was not happy at all!! The other groups were okay, but they were not what I went there for!! TLC was totally energetic! Jonas Bros. were good, but long!! Emblem 3 was good, but really, really long. NKOTB were out of tune, but were entertaining. We left before they finished because they day was so long and we were tired. It was almost 11:30 pm when we left, and they didn't seem to be winding it down. It was a wet, dreary day and I didn't get a full set from the group I went to see. I probably won't go there next year, but I'm sure others enjoyed it.

    Best of both worlds

    by Doliv2 on 7/30/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

After waiting for the down pouring rain to stop, the show shifted into high gear immediately and it did not disappoint , just like last year. I am able to enjoy the music with my kids who are from totally different music times and the festival covers all of this ...something for everyone and always together...Memories are always made at this festival....Love it and can't wait until next year.

TLC & Boyz 2Men were the best!

by DaisyZBear on 7/30/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

Great concert, even in the rain! Something for everyone. My granddaughter screamed along with the admirers of the Jonas Brothers, my daughters sang and danced with B2M, NKOTB and TLC. I enjoyed watching them and the concert too! Kudos to TLC and the dance moves and to their loyalty to their friend.

Great concert but venue needs better management

    by Stripped713 on 7/30/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

Parking was a catastrophe on Saturdays show. Huge thunderstorm and pouring rain. We attempted to turn into concert parking area from one direction and were direct away with no answer as to why or where to go. we turned around a came back passing a sign that said "concert parking ahead" all lit up with bright lights so we figured they were just not letting traffic turn in from that direction and we tried again. had to turn in and track someone down to be told parking was now at the giant center. we asked if the concert was still taking place in a thunderstorm as we heard no music coming from the stadium and just wanted to know if it was on delay or canceled or what. Even though all the parking staff were equipped with walk talkies they could give us no information on the events status which is ridiculous. We made our way to the parking area which turned out to be well over a miles walk from the stadium and since the stadium does not allow umbrellas we had to walk in the pouring rain. For this reason we decided to wait in the car at least until it calmed down to a sprinkle. After some time we thought we could hear some music but wanted to confirm before making the long journey to the stadium. The stadium apparently has no phone #, only the giant center does and they re-directed us to a "customer service" line when there the person who answered got very snarky with me for asking about the concert and said "They have been playing for the last hour hour" like I was dumb or something. Never mind I am sitting in a car over a mile away in a thunderstorm and could not hear that well. VIP party was a joke. I have been to many VIP parties where the event hosts actually make sure everyone is partying. There is usually dancing, mingling and enjoying the lounge. This was a bunch of grown people standing near the stage crunched in like sardines for 3 hours just waiting and hoping for new kids on the block to come out. They took up the entire area that would be the dance floor and just stood there. The dj and event hosts did nothing to encourage these people to go enjoy themselves. No activities, no dancing or anything. Just a small bar, a table with carrots, pretzels and Hershey kisses...wow...so very vip. Other than some poor management and communication with the venue staff. This event was enjoyable. many bands, great performances and tons of fun. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many bands and artists actually went out into the crowd for certain songs. Every band and artist there seemed to genuinely appreciate their fans and enjoy what they do. There was a ton of crowd interaction and even though I did not know who many of the bands were, I can honestly say now that I have seen them live, I would go see them live again because they were that good. Amazing return of TLC! Very excited for that. But as always my favorite group remains to be Hanson and I am so glad when they hosted the friday night VIP party, they actually all made an appearance and stayed out in the part for some time and made an effort to interact with the guests and keep us having fun.

    Mixtape Festival delivers great music.

    by upton0077 on 7/29/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

This is the first music festival I have been to. I attended with my wife and 3 children (ages 15, 10, and 9). We didn't arrive to the festival until after it started. We missed the first 4 acts and arrived during The Script's set. I am not overly familiar with this band, other than their more popular songs. They put on a great show. The lead singer really knows how to get the crowd into it. He ran off the stage and into the crowd. It looked like security had no idea he was planning this. Young girls and the cotton candy vendor followed him wherever he went and the crowd loved it. They sounded really good and everyone seemed to enjoy their set. Next up was One Republic. I knew their music a little better and looked forward to their set. They play beautiful music, but I didn't find it great music for a rock concert. It almost seemed like a philharmonic. They sounded good, but I didn't think the crowd was that into it. I saw a lot of the younger people in the crowd on their phones during their set. They were good, but not overly exciting. Finally, Train took the stage. They sounded really good and had the crowd involved throughout most of their set. They have several songs that are well known and didn't miss playing any of them. For anyone that enjoys Train music, I would recommend seeing them live. Overall, I found the Mixtape Festival to be enjoyable and worth the money.

    All the bands were great

by KristaFromJersey on 7/29/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

Hershey park stadium was so clean and a friendly atmosphere! To begin with, they did not charge for stadium parking and the band schedule was followed to the minute! Hanson, Gavin, The Script, One Republic and Train were all fantastic!! I was not a personal fan of the last three as I had never been to one of their shows where I have seen Hanson and Gavin hundreds of times and I can honestly say The Script are a class act and Train. True musicians and entertainers!! I made my mom come see them with me two days later at PNC bank arts center and she felt the same way!

    Mixtape Festival was awesome!

    by TrainFan3 on 7/29/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

We attended Day 1, getting there right after the first act finished. Everything was well organized - no problems getting in, using the restrooms, or getting refreshments/t-shirts. We had grandstand seats - section 27, row E. We could see and hear everything, but since they're bleacher seats, they weren't very comfortable to sit in for very long - we were there for five bands, which played about an hour each. Also, this side of the stadium had no shade. Overall great concert, though, especially with so many of our favorite bands playing, and for a good amount of time!

    Mixtape setup

    by Newkidfan1 on 7/29/13Hersheypark Stadium - Hershey

Go back to use of two stages on each side of stadium. It went smoother.
