Mitchell Tenpenny In Concert
Country singer and songwriter Mitchell Tenpenny made his name in Nashville with a sound heavily informed by modern pop and R&B. But when he hits the stage, his audience gets to glimpse another side of his sound. While the state-of-the-art production on Tenpenny's records includes a sophisticated tapestry of electronic textures, his stage setup is much simpler, based around the time-honored guitars-and-drums format. This approach makes Tenpenny's rock 'n' roll influences come to the fore. But whether he's performing his first hit single, 2017's "Drunk Me," or any of his other tunes, Tenpenny is always able and willing to deploy some serious soulful vocal turns too, like when he dips into his falsetto for an especially emotive moment. And it's even more impactful in a live setting.
Mitchell Tenpenny Background
It seems natural that Nashville-born Mitchell Tenpenny has made a career in country music. His grandmother Donna Hilley was a country music biz bigwig, the CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, though she passed years before Tenpenny's first recordings were released. His debut album, Black Crow, arrived in 2015, and included a guest appearance by neo-bluegrass heroes The SteelDrivers. Soon after, Tenpenny's talents as a songwriter for other artists became clear when "If the Boot Fits," which he co-wrote for Granger Smith, became a hit. The Linden Ave EP followed in 2017, making major inroads for Tenpenny with an appearance in the upper rungs of Billboard's Heatseeker chart. Next thing you know, Tenpenny's gotten himself signed to Columbia Nashville, and his first single for the label, "Drunk Me," starts making some major moves up the charts. Tenpenny's 2018 LP, Telling All My Secrets, marked his full-length Columbia debut, auguring even bigger things for the man from Music City.

Mitchell Tenpenny put on such an incredible show! His passion and heart show through his performance. This is one of my favorite venues because it is small and more intimate. The acoustics and sound quality are perfect. All around fantastic show!!!
Great venue, the concert was awesome and the people there were amazing.
Venue and Mitchell were excellent….drove from west palm beach to see Mitchell and he did not disappoint.
Loved seeing him at the PV concert hall. They need more country concerts at this venue. Bring Kameron Marlowe!
Mitchell Tenpenny was amazing!!!!! The show and crowd was an absolute blast. One of the best nights of my life.
Wow! From the start of the show, to the end, Mitchell Tenpenny did not disappoint! His voice is incredible. We always crank his music up in our garage when we are hanging out. He sounds crystal clear live…and man, can that boy play instruments! He and his band blew the roof off that venue! I will go see him every chance I get!
Mitchell Tenpenny was energetic and the crowd was really into the music. Opener Preston James was very good and we should hear more from him in the near future. The real star of the show is this new outdoor venue near Bardstown, KY; The Amp at the Dant is a beautiful spot with good seating and acoustics. They are still building a restaurant and distillery so will be a true destination soon. Expect to pay $10 parking on top of your ticket price, and drinks other than beer are about $14 each.
He’s absolutely the best I’ve ever seen. Love the energy from his concerts and his vibe with all his fans! Can’t wait to go again!!
The concert was amazing. However, they allowed people to buy VIP tickets—which we did. There was no clear division in the standing area between regular admission and VIP though so a group of about 20-25 regular admission people shoved all of us out of their way (literally and painfully) so that they could be in the front row—that we all paid extra for and waited longer for. Nothing was done to prevent this. They were belligerent and threatening to fight anyone who stopped them so we had to let them push us. There were pre-teens in the front who were forcibly shoved out of the way by these drunk morons and the venue didn’t do anything about it. The artist is amazing, but save yourself and see him at a venue where there are assigned seats because he has some pretty despicable fans...
Those that know me know I go to a lot of shows. This show, was hands down the BEST show I have been to. Not just for this year, for any of the shows that I can remember. The energy from Seaforth and from Mitchell and his band were incredible and there was so much energy from the crowd as well. Almost everyone was singing back every single word. I can't wait to see him again next year!
There were no seats and everyone was packed together. Didn’t really enjoy it
First time at Webster Hall and was blown away! The layout of the venue is great, staff were friendly and the location is ideal. Will definitely be looking at artists coming through again in the future at Webster Hall!
Band is super talented, Mitchell rocks it! He's hilarious and put on an amazing show! Will definitely see him again!!
Being one of the first to be apart of Mitchell's very first VIP was incredible! Mitchell came out and did quite a few songs-many requests and did a q&a. Lots of good questions and answers. Mitchell killed it! Great concert! Mitchell's opener Lainie Wilson was incredible! If you get a chance to see Lainie, don't miss her!
Mitchell Tenpenny did a fantastic job of putting on a great show. He was energetic and interacted with the crowd. It was fun to watch and the music of course was GREAT!
The venue was great and so was the music! My only complaint was our server...people at our table ordered their drinks three times before they got them! Not up to Turningstone standards at all.
Mitchell is such a great guy..amazing show will go too every show of his i can.
Literally the best concert I’ve ever attended. First time at the venue but it was all worth it to see Mitchell Tenpenny
Mitchell Tenpenny and Seaforth put on a great show, very fan friendly and lots of fun on stage!
