Mitchell Tenpenny In Concert
Country singer and songwriter Mitchell Tenpenny made his name in Nashville with a sound heavily informed by modern pop and R&B. But when he hits the stage, his audience gets to glimpse another side of his sound. While the state-of-the-art production on Tenpenny's records includes a sophisticated tapestry of electronic textures, his stage setup is much simpler, based around the time-honored guitars-and-drums format. This approach makes Tenpenny's rock 'n' roll influences come to the fore. But whether he's performing his first hit single, 2017's "Drunk Me," or any of his other tunes, Tenpenny is always able and willing to deploy some serious soulful vocal turns too, like when he dips into his falsetto for an especially emotive moment. And it's even more impactful in a live setting.
Mitchell Tenpenny Background
It seems natural that Nashville-born Mitchell Tenpenny has made a career in country music. His grandmother Donna Hilley was a country music biz bigwig, the CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, though she passed years before Tenpenny's first recordings were released. His debut album, Black Crow, arrived in 2015, and included a guest appearance by neo-bluegrass heroes The SteelDrivers. Soon after, Tenpenny's talents as a songwriter for other artists became clear when "If the Boot Fits," which he co-wrote for Granger Smith, became a hit. The Linden Ave EP followed in 2017, making major inroads for Tenpenny with an appearance in the upper rungs of Billboard's Heatseeker chart. Next thing you know, Tenpenny's gotten himself signed to Columbia Nashville, and his first single for the label, "Drunk Me," starts making some major moves up the charts. Tenpenny's 2018 LP, Telling All My Secrets, marked his full-length Columbia debut, auguring even bigger things for the man from Music City.
This was my fifth time seeing Mitchell. This was the best of his shows so far. You could feel the energy in the air. Mitchell keeps upping the bar!! Loved the small intimate venue, which was beautiful.
Mitchell Tenpenny is a great performer. He loves his fans and is genuinely thankful them. This was my 3rd time seeing him this year and he gets better every time. If you’re not listening to his music, you’re missing out.
Extremely happy with this show! The opening act, Dylan Schneider was wonderful and Mitchell Tenpenny was simply awesome! I’ve been to general admission shows at another venue, and it wasn’t nearly as good of an experience…The crowd here was “tame” and the performers kept it classy. I do wish the set up and timing of when the performers come out was less of a wait time though and parking prices weren’t insane!! Overall though, great show, great time!

Mitchell Tenpenny put a great show!! The opening act went on a little longer than I thought. Rock mixed with country. Right out the gate, the concert was packed full of energy with a mix of his older songs to songs from his new album. Heck of a show!!
My daughter and I are from Boston but took a trip to Lake Tahoe and had the opportunity to see MT in the outdoor arena at Harveys..... best night Eva!! Mitchell Tenpenny floored everyone with their wonderful tunes.. great sound and energy! Can't wait to see them again here in Boston & New Hampshire in September!!! Catchy lyrics and feel good beat will keep you on the edge of your seat!!

This was a great concert. Mitchell Tenpenney sounds just as good Live as he does on the radio. The venue is so intimate and the sound was perfect. I wish he would have played more songs though!
He puts on the best show!!! The sound could have been a little better up top but it was a great show!!!
Mitchell was great, although I don’t think I would go back to the venue again. 90% is all standing room. The group of 5 girls standing in front of us kept pushing us back and stepping on my toes. One of the 5 girls was under age and brought nips in and the bouncers weren’t even paying attention and they were standing right in front of her. She was also drinking from her friends cups.
We had an awesome time. Everything went smoothly. Mitchell put on a great show and my granddaughter enjoyed herself as well. Can't wait for next year for his next tour!!!
One of my favorite people to see live! Puts on a great performance & was awesome to hear his songs live. Great voice and keeps the crowd very entertained!
This guy is doing some pretty good things! His songs are good and he has a good voice. We will try and see him again!
Tyler Braden and Mitchell are penny were fantastic! I’m quite certain Mitchell is about to really breakthrough! The venue was awful. Too packed. Too flat. I’m short and I couldn’t see the stage at all. My guest is in a wheelchair and there was no special area for us or any accommodation whatsoever… we won’t be back.
M10 blew the roof off the building as always. I drove 8 hours from Kentucky after seeing his wife Meghan Partick preform to see M10 and i would do it again in a heartbeat. If there is one person you shouldn't miss this year live its definitely Mitchell Tenpenny hands down.
Mitchell tenpenny never disappoints. He was great! The venue was also great not too crowded very organized and the AC worked which was amazing!
Mitchell & Tyler did such an amazing job. I had the best time with my best friend at the concert. Can’t wait to see him with Jason Aldean in August!!
