These smaller groups struggle with setting up as the acoustics at the Sylvee are poor. I’ve seen a few shows there where they got it right and it sounded ok but this show was terribly bad I couldn’t hear any of the words and even the music didn’t sound right.
I love that they played at the smaller venue. I've seen Misterwives and Bishop Briggs before and love the feel of their new music. Bishop Briggs has a passion that comes through. Mandy always gives it all. And the musicians play so well together
Bought meet and greet tickets, showed up with plenty of time. We were given instructions as we came in to purchase merchandise either before or after concert. While in line to purchase almost $300 worth of merchandise, the staff did not communicate with us the line for pictures with bishop was ongoing and almost done. As we walked in she was just getting up and we told staff we didn’t get to do it but they did nothing. Flew from florida to meet bishop and sadly we couldn’t and my 10 yo was heart broken. In the future they should line everyone first and let them know after pictures to purchase merchandise. Literally my daughter and I were the only ones who didn’t n get the picture with her. We did get to take a pic with mister wives and do the q and a. Which was excellent l. Concert itself was amazing
Performers were phenomenal! Impressed at the timely manner of transitions between acts. No long wait times for the show to start.
I've seen them a few times and they always bring the vibes.
This was my first time seeing MisterWives live, and lemme tell you they did not disappoint! Their energy was incredible the whole time, and they kept up the audience participation. Enough for my watch to auto recognize their full set as a "walk"ha. Would def go see them again. Hadn't listened to Bishop Briggs before this, her set was spectacular too, great graphics package on the screens. The Anthem is always a clean venue and the staff there is so friendly. (SO to the merch assistant that was just as excited about the MisterWives kitty cat tee as I was).
Mandy lee showed Love towards all fans in the venue. Especially those of us in the upper levels! Enjoyed the protective guitarist lending his shirt to Mandy; this single act shows genuine character.
Ticketmaster is the worst. I have no idea about the show. My partner had a medical emergency and not only did TM restrict my ability to sell my tickets, they wouldn’t even let me transfer. Complete waste.
I absolutely love this band and all they stand for. They continue to give me goosebumps every time i see them in concert and they leave everything on the stage. They’re amazing!!!
I went for Lawrence, who was one of the best groups you will see live, ever. I will gladly over hype them all the damn time. MisterWives I use to listen to around 2017 and they resurfaced with a song called Superbloom, so I put them back in the playlist rotation so I wasn't sure what they would be like live. They were so much better live, honestly I wish I could go see this show once a week. I don't have words for how amazing this show was, but some bands/groups just hit different live and make you sad when its over. Thank you for this experience, I really needed it.
The whole show was fantastic, but especially misterwives. They are wildly energetic, the set list was great, and for a really depressing day nationally, they were exactly what was needed
From start to finish this was an incredible show. The check in for the venue was seamless, all the artists got on stage on time, and the quality was amazing. Ticketmaster was an easy system to use, got notifications for where to find the tickets and had an easy time pulling them up. If you ever get the chance to see MisterWives, Lawrence or the Winnetka Bowling League, I would highly highly recommend it. All groups put on absolute masterpiece performances and were a nice refresher on what live music should sound like. One of the best performances I've had the chance to see.
Both bands had a great sound and played to the audience. It was our first time seeing either band and we really like he vibe and energy of Lawrence!!
Let me start off by saying the music and the musicians were great. The other people in the crowd wee absolutely terrible. I have never been to a concert where there was so much trash left on the floor at the end of the night, blatant disregard for personal space, and disregard for the people who go there early enough to get a decent spot. It honestly makes me not want to go to this venue again.
I really enjoyed Winnetka Bowlibg league. I’ve never heard of them, but ended up loving their vibe. Lawrence put on the best live show I have ever seen. They should 100% be headliners. Mister wives was okay.
The bands were fantastic and the engineer was doing an ok to decent job up until misterwives started and then there was a lot more feedback and popping and the music was like blended all in one tone.
All bands were outstanding. Had a great time!!!!!!!

HOB is a great music venue so that’s a given. It was complimented by two solid bands to get the crowd ready for the energetic and flawless set from Misterwives - my third time seeing them perform and they only get better.
misterwives knows how to put on a show! with three bands playing, it was extremely organized and the crowd had so much fun. the energy and songs were amazing- this is why i always see misterwives multiple times on tour. they are my favorite band and ALWAYS give the energy in their beautiful performances!!
