About

Troy, Ohio’s Miss May I came together in 2006, while their members were still in high school. Consisting of guitarists Justin Aufdemkampe and B.J. Stead, singer Levi Benton, drummer Jerod Boyd, and bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff, the quintet plays highly technical, driving metalcore. With searing guitar work and dual sung/screamed vocals, Miss May I quickly established themselves through a series of demo recordings, eventually landing a contract with Rise Records for the release of their debut full-length, 2009’s Apologies Are for the Weak. After spending a couple of years touring with bands like Carnifex, blessthefall, and the Devil Wears Prada, the band returned to the studio to begin work on its follow-up with producer Joey Sturgis. The result was their 2010 album, Monument, which reached number 76 on the Billboard 200 and was the band's most successful record to date. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi

    AWESOME

by CAchick on 11/17/11The Regency Ballroom - San Francisco

Opening bands....eh. Pierce the Veil.... AMAZING. Took my boyfriend to the show for his bday. It was his first "real" concert and in his own words, "It was the best birthday present I've ever got." Definitely, definitely would recommend any fans of ptv to go to one of their shows, the quality was awesome, they didnt sound totally different live than recorded, which some bands do. Sometimes it can be good to sound different because it ends up sounding better live, but others unfortunatly sound pretty horrible live even though they sound good on their cd. So... Once again, ptv was a huge hit at the show and I would recommend any fans to go see them live, for sure!

I went for Pierce the Veil, but ended up loving the whole show. The Regency has never been my favorite venue because of parking and accessibility issues, but the show itself went off without a hitch. Well done!

Wow- Wow- Wow-All 5 bands were amazing!

    by Birthdaygirlsmom72 on 11/25/10Orpheum - Tampa

I brought 3 girls(13,15 and 16) to the Orpheum in Tampa, FL to see Miss May I . The venue was well managed and Had great security. My girls were at the front of the stage and had the time of their lives. The sound system sounded superb and I was very impressed with my overall experience. The parking was very close and easy to get to. I would definitely Go back to The Orpheum for another concert. All 5 bands : (Miss may I , Abandon all Ships, Bury Tomorrow, Crimson Armada, and Sleeping with Sirens) - Were Excellent !!!!! I was amazed at how friendly and social theses bands were. My girls got to hug, shake hands, get pictures and talk to any band member they approached. These bands Really know how to interact with their Fans! Some bands even Wished my daughter happy birthday mid song and others gave her their drum sticks to her, and CD and Many Signatures. My girls will NEVER forget how amazing this night was! If these Bands continue to interact and keep their fans this involved with their performances, Their potential is endless.
