Poorly executed, treated candidates poorly, boring to watch.
the arena was great! But the content of Miss America 2.0 was a effort to fix something that was not broken. To Crown a scientist was ridiculous.unless the scientist was talented as well . A opera singer could not expect to win at a science fair unness she was a scientist that also sang. The evening was a boring job interview with moments of brilliance that ultimately was not rewarded.
The venue and atmosphere were good! The show itself was flat. The hype going into the event and the fact that they were rebranding killed the event. There was no entertainment value and was too scripted. Miss america failed!
The pageant was very nice..Miss Ct was 4th runner up... the pageant itself was lackluster ... no production numbers.. the introduction of the States...then you never saw the girls until the crowning... l liked the stressing of the woman education and the diversity of talent ... what I found insulting was the critique Of the girls immediately following the interviews, talent and then to be told in front of the audience snd singled out”sorry you will not be moving on”... tacky!.. the talent portion ... although the winner Miss Virginia was beautiful, smart, well spoken, her talent was a 4th grade science experiment!!! The other ladies danced, sang, baton twirling took years of lessons and practice... a 4th grade science experiment!!!.... the judges... who were they and their background ... where were the former Miss Americas, the pageant dignitaries who knows what it takes to be Miss America.... and 3 of them!!!....disappointing... but I congratulate the new Miss America...
The 2.0 change was horrible! It was advertised no swimsuit. No problem. But, no evening gown competition? Elimination immediately? 3 judges? Intelligence talent wins? (That’s intelligence not talent.)
Absolutely ecstatic watching my granddaughter Miss Massachusetts complete for Miss America!! Best time ever
Beautiful venue but worst pageant/competition I have ever been to.
No production. No entertainment. Poorly conceived competition ideas. Felt sorry for candidates who worked so hard for this.
Bring back the glamour and Feature the top 10 talents.
i prefer the classic pageant. this new system would have been best celebrated as a completely new different event rather than changing our beloved past time.
I paid for premium seats and was asked to move due to a production snafu. It was incredibly humiliating to be lead to the back of the arena for cheaper seating. I was mortified and this was an awful experience.
The venue for the preliminary competition was disappointing. The seats were all on one level, making visibility for all but those in the front seats poor. This was not clear in the map indicating where the seats were. There were not speakers in the middle or back of the hall, so sound was also a problem. The contestants were amazing. I wish I could have seen or heard them better.
