Everything about this concert was wonderful. At some point, it seemed as if it became a party at Mindi's home and everyone was her friend. She is an incredible musician and so are the Boneshakers. At the end on the concert she came out and signed autographs and mingled with the crowd.

Mindi Abair is a beautiful and talented person by all accounts, as are The Boneshakers. Wonderful, funny people, with amazing stage presence and chemistry. I don't know too much about Jazz music, but I found it exciting and fun to listen to. My boyfriend was pretty enthralled too. The only downside was the venue. For the style of music, you would hope that there would be a dance floor. There was not. And the drinks were incredibly over prices, even for Midtown Manhattan. However, it was a great show.

Mindi Abair is fabulous. And The Boneshakers are a tremendous band. The venue was outstanding - intimate with good acoustics. And we got the chance to meet Mindi after the show.

Mindi had an awesome, inspiring message for youth.

    by Jazz1Fan on 5/22/16Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

Mindi had an awesome message of encouragement for young people, and inspiring them to reach for their dreams. Her own pesonal journey is evidence that never accepting NO as an answer sets the stage for reaching one's dreams.

by Bkallen5 on 6/15/15Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del Mar

We have seen Mindi many time over the years & always had a great time. The Del Mar venue was different but worked great. The Boneshakers were great with Mindi which is no surprise as Randy Jacobs was music director & great guitarist. Icing on the cake was 'Sweetpea' a great blues singer.

by JumbalayaKen on 6/14/15Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del Mar

The performance by Mindi and the Boneshakers was superb. I even thoroughly enjoyed their sound check which was done 4 hours before the show. Sweet Pea added some delightful soulful singing. We've been fans of Mindi and Randy Jacobs since first seeing them on a smooth jazz cruise back in 2004.

Pieces of a Dream was excellent!

by walker58 on 4/15/15Berks Jazz Fest - Reading

Pieces of a Dream put on a top notch show. They have been around almost 40 years...which is unbelievable! They are still fresh sounding and can still wow their fans! Mindi Abair was ok but compared to the opening act, they just didn't continue the high energy Pieces of a Dream had!

Berks Jazz Fest, Reading, PA. Sat, Apr 11, 2015 Great Show!....We went to see Mindi, but were just as excited to see POAD as well & are fans of their music. POAD was playing in front of basically hometown fans since they are Philly based & they delivered with an amazing set filled with passion. Mindi on the otherhand is transitioning from the Smooth Jazz sound that put her on the map to more of a Rock/blues sound. Unfortunately for her, this was a Jazz Fest & I believe she should have dipped a'lil farther back to her recording roots for this show. A large part of the attendee's bought tix to hear Jazz & not so much the type of music the majority of her setlist focused on - quite a few people left. POAD more or less made it hard for her as well & this was 1 of those times when the warm up band outshone the headliners. I applaud Mindi for exploring a new direction, especially with the way the smooth jazz genre has fallen on hard times now commercially, but I think she choose the wrong venue to promote it so heavily.

Nick Colienne and Mindi Abair are a great show!

by ColonelMike on 11/26/14American Theatre - Hampton

These folks put on quite a performance. Nick C. really heated up the audience, having the whole theater up dancing. Mindi performed several tracks from her newest CD, Wild Heart - by far her best recording yet. She has really come into her own as a composer and single performer. We drove four hours to hear her and would do it again. It's worth noting that Hampton's American theater is a a very intimate and pleasant venue that made this concert possible. Good stuff!

Mindi Abair And Nick Colionne gave awesome performances full energy which kept the audience engaged from start to finish. The location and the atmosphere were great. The American Theater is a small quaint theater but very classy. This was truly one of the best performances I've seen this year and the tickets were very affordable.
