Mike doing what he does best.

by Schlitzinacan on 9/27/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

Mike was absolutely hilarious! He was on for a remarkable hour and a half and it was very close to be completely new material. Having seen some national touring stand-ups in the past couple years, i know that both of those things are not the norm. Mike's the best and can't wait for him to come back next year.

    Mike Birbiglia killed it!

by BirbigsFan on 9/27/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

The show was amazing! His opening comedian, Henry Phillips was fantastic too. All in all a great show! We see Mike whenever he comes to Minneapolis and will continue to do so...in the future also!

Birbiglia will be in my future!

by tjenkins on 9/27/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

Birbiglia's performance was outstanding. While some of his material had been heard before, he brought many new stories and jokes to keep the audience entertained and doubled over with laughter the entire night. Not only would I recommend seeing him live but I would recommend putting him on the schedule for next year's tour as well.

Best Live Comedian I Have Seen!

by slsuhr on 9/27/09State Theatre - Minneapolis

Birbiglia was the third comedian I had the opportunity to see this summer and he was hands down the BEST -- and that's going up against some better known names in the business. At one point I couldn't catch my breath I was laughing so hard. I love the style of comedy -- telling stories rather than telling jokes. I would highly HIGHLY recommend this comedian.

    Mike Birbiglia was Awesome!!

by kaytybo on 9/27/09Vic Theatre - Chicago

His show was hilarious and my group of friends and family had a blast. As always he was dorkily animated and fun to watch from start to finish! His comedy is always original and inspired by real life events making it so fun and relatable. We plan on seeing him next time he is in town... Thanks for an awesome Saturday night MIKE!

    Birbiglia, not so funny

by shari65 on 9/26/09The Pageant - St Louis

I was not impressed with Birbiglia's show this time. He did not have any funny stories and the old stuff that he did was not the best. I was disappointed. I've watched him on Comedy Central in the past and have attended shows and have loved him. This time he was not good. I will not go to another show in the future.

    Mike Birbiglia is a must-see!!

by Jetskimoo on 9/25/09The Pageant - St Louis

When I was in college, I was on our student programming board, and we brought Mike Birbiglia on campus for a show, which was a big hit. This was about 5 or 6 years ago, before Mike was as well-known as he is now. When a couple of friends and I who all helped with the on-campus show found out that Mike was coming to St. Louis, we knew we had to go see him again. Last night's show was absolutely hilarious! Although his show was great when we brought him to campus, last night's was even better! It's no wonder why Mike is so much more well known now!

    Birbigs does it again

by trey512 on 9/25/09The Pageant - St Louis

Mike Birbiglia is hands down one of the funniest comedians/storytellers I've ever seen. If you have seen him before, you will hear some of the same stories again, but they never get old. He is very quick and able to come up with hilarious jokes about people in the audience.

    Birbigs=Guaranteed Laughs!

    by BaconBit24 on 9/20/09Vic Theatre - Chicago

While I thought this tour would be all new material, the older stuff never fails to make me laugh....so, mission accomplished! Mike is absolutely the least pretentious, genuinely smart comic out there! I'll never miss a performance in Chicago!

    Birbiglia

Mediocre jokes. A lot of the stuff like Peoria, cell phone, and GPS jokes just were not funny.

    Fun night out

    by Mackman729 on 9/20/09Vic Theatre - Chicago

My wife and I are big comedy fans - so we've been to more than a few shows. It was about 3/4 of the way into the show, with sore cheeks (from laughing), that I realized Mike Birbiglia does this all without swearing. At a point, Mike raised the subject about "bad parents" bringing kids to his shows. There were no kids in attendance at the Vic, but if there were - they wouldn't be walking out with a new collection of profanity or jokes that would get them in trouble. Mike's act focuses on self-reflection and the general absurdity of the world around us. Most kids probably wouldn't have enough life experience to relate. Anyway, it was a fun night out for us - two members of the 30-something crowd. The Vic is the Vic. It shows its age, but has a lot of character, and, in my opinion, the staff is efficient and personable. That beats all! Mike's opening act also deserves a notable mention too. I believe his first name was Henry and his act was based largely on his guitar. He did an exceptional job of engaging the house. I should have paid more attention to his name, but he was really funny just the same.

One of Birbiglias best shows yet

by Pilwho on 9/20/09Vic Theatre - Chicago

I have not laughed that hard in a VERY long time. At one point I was laughing so hard that I was tearing up. This was some of the best material he has had out to date. He was very interactive with the crowd and it didn't seem like he was just following his act to the T. Excellent show and highly recommended.

by Blitzburgh on 9/20/09TN Perf Arts Ctr James K Polk Theater - Nashville

I watch comedians all the time on television and have seen Katt williams live but this guy is the funniest comedian I have ever seen. Gave a great show and signed autographs at the end. I would see this guy any time he comes to town.

Mike Birbiglia and the first act were hilarious. Everything ran smoothly with the performance and it was nice of him to sign things at the end of the show.
