About

About Middle Tennessee State Univ Blue Raiders Men's Basketball

There have only been eight No. 15 seeds that have beaten a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The most recent? The Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders, who beat the Michigan State Spartans 90-81 in 2016. It's the type of victory that a school can hang its hat on for years.

For the Blue Raiders, it was only their third win ever in the NCAA tournament, following first-round victories in 1982 and 1989. The team would notch another win the following year with a 81-72 victory over the Minnesota Gophers.

The program's history isn't as storied as the teams it has toppled in the tournament, but it is there. Middle Tennessee State had a good run in the 1980s, making the tournament four times (1982, 1985, 1987, and 1989) to go along with three conference regular season and tournament wins. More recently, they've won the regular season title in Conference USA five times since 2010, although only got the aforementioned two NCAA tournament invites by virtue of winning the C-USA conference tournament.

  • Older facility

Not the best place for watching college basketball. Too many stand and prevent seeing the game. Loud with poor sound system. Parking is the best part of attending a game there.

  • Classy match, best video in small venue.

G4eat small gym with 4 real-time display boards for individual scoring/fouls and even picture of home team players. 2 large screen s with fast replays and accurate real-time lineups, team and individual scoring and team and individual fouls displayed. Excellent pep band. Two well coached teams, Much fun! Only complaint was very poor print ticket functionality on website.

Great Auburn turnout for a Nashville game. Definitely proud to be a Tiger.

Price for tickets were great until all other fees and service fees made them high and pricier than advertised. But great game and good seats.
