It was a wonderful tribute to all the Monkees. The stories, video and music.
What a truly great show. Micky Dolenz was in great voice and the multi media show kept the three fallen members alive on stage with him
So much fun! Great concert, all the best songs, Micky was absolutely wonderful!!!!
The sound/blend was so absolutely perfect! Near the end of the show, Micky's monitors went out, but you'd never know it from what we were hearing. It was an outstanding show!
Mickey was wonderful and all the video feed of his fallen band members was touching and nostalgic. The band sounds great. The venue is very friendly and comfortable. And reasonably priced concessions.
So thankful it worked out to see the farewell tour which really turned out that way for Mike Nesmith.
Bittersweet to see the final concert of their Farewell Tour. I'm glad I was able to see them in the same venue I saw them first, Sept. 7, 1986. Made me appreciate all the years of enjoyment I have had from their music, tv show, etc. Thank you Monkees for all the memories!
I thoroughly enjoyed this show, but it was obvious that Mike Nesmith wasn't well. He took several breaks during the show, moving very slowly off and on stage. Micky was full of energy, and his voice sounded great. Mike's voice wasn't strong, but he gave it his all, and received a couple of standing ovations.
What a fantastic evening!! I wish it wasn't going to be the last time to see The Monkees. My first Monkees concert was in the 70s, it was great. Micky Dolenz sounds as good now as he did back then, what a fantastic performer. This was a first time for me to hear Michael Nesmith live. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and seeing the interaction of Michael and Micky. Thank you guys for providing such a wonderful experience.
I would definitely recommend seeing The Monkees if you get a chance! The show was nostalgic, very fun, and Mike Nesmith and Micky Dolenz sounded really good despite their age. The Uptown Theater is always a nice place to see live entertainment.
Mike and Micky sounded great! I'm so glad I was able to be at this concert!
It just wasn't worth it. Spent $100 on a beer and 2 mixed drinks. The Monkees were uninspired. Sped through their best songs like Not My Stepping Stone very uninspired. Sounds like they've still got an inferiority complex constantly talking about how they were invited by the Beatles and Carole King used their songs. Too much trouble getting in and out of the Greek. Concert was short. Could have used an opening act. The lead singer spent too much time patting himself on the back and old stories and not enough time playing.
What a wonderful evening, not only for the stellar music but all the fantastic anecdotes from Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith. It was a real treat to share the evening with these guys who have been part of my horizon since I was a young kid back in England. Thank you for all the singalongs, joy and laughter over many decades. Thank you seems too small a sentiment and I hope it isn’t farewell. Micky and Nes- you have brightened so many days with the zany humor and brilliant songs. Merci mes amis.
It should have been called The Mickey Dolenz show with Michael Nesmith. Nesmith only participated in about 10% of the songs. Many songs where from Dolenz new album, so was it a concert or an infomercial? If you were wanting to hear your old Monkees favorites there were a few, very few. It was 1 hour, a twenty minute break, and another hour. The best songs of course were near the end of the second hour. If I had missed the first 1.5 hours it would have been better for me.
Great night of stories and songs and memories. Right back to my early days!
The entire show just felt so bittersweet. This may be the last time seeing the last two surviving Monkees on stage together. I couldn’t help but feel choked up the entire time. The music was slow and the crowd tame. I wish it had felt more like a party than a funeral, but given the age of most of the crowd, it is not surprising. Nonetheless, I was glad to have been there.
It's always joyous to experience Mike Nesmith's humor and talent. One of the world's greatest storytellers/performers. Thank you and adios :D Gonna keep it positive and not say more.
These Mickey and Mile still got it going on! Loved, loved the concert...
This was my first and last Monkees concert. I only wish I had gone to others before this. Micky and Mike were a delight. Sad to see them go.
My friend and I had a very enjoyable evening reliving our childhoods through Monkees hits. It was bittersweet, as Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz carried on after the deaths of Monkees Davy Jones and Peter Tork. Their band was tight, and backing vocals and percussion were handled by Micky's sister, Coco Dolenz. Greatest hits as well as more obscure tunes were performed. The audience sang along to the chorus of Daydream Believer, which was sweet. All of the employees we encountered were very helpful. Thanks for a fun and nostalgic evening!
