About

Michael Bolton is a multi Grammy Award-winning Singer/Songwriter and Emmy nominated performer, who has sold more than 65 million records worldwide and continues to tour the globe.

Celebrating more than 50 years of contributions to the entertainment industry, Michael has seen 9 studio albums rank in the Top Ten, with 9 #1 singles.  Bolton reveals his timeless relevance with a collection of freshly written songs in his newest album Spark of Light, featuring the single "Beautiful World" which debuted on NBC's American Song Contest. His previous album A SYMPHONY OF HITS, which hit #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart, is a selection of his favorite Greatest Hits newly arranged and recorded with a full symphony orchestra.

In recognition of his artistic achievements, Michael won 2 Grammys for Best Pop Male Vocal Performance (nominated four times), 6 American Music Awards, and a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  As a songwriter, he has earned over 24 BMI & ASCAP Awards, including Songwriter of the Year, 9 Million-Air awards, and the Hitmakers Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

Internationally renowned, Michael has collaborated with musical icons that have inspired his own career, such as Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, Renee Fleming, BB King, Bob Dylan and -- perhaps his greatest influence -- Ray Charles.

Michael has written hit singles impacting the careers of artists such as Laura Branigan ("How Am I Supposed to Live Without You"), KISS ("Forever"), Barbra Streisand ("We're Not Making Love Anymore"), Cher ("I Found Someone"), and Kenny G ("By the Time this Night is Over").

Bolton's signature success was seized with the 12x platinum album Soul Provider, showcasing chart-toppers like the #1 hit single "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," which earned Michael his first Grammy.  This pivotal album also includes the hit singles "How Can We Be Lovers," "Soul Provider," and the Grammy-nominated "Georgia on My Mind."

The next #1 album Time, Love & Tenderness, sold over 16 million copies world-wide and features his Grammy Award-winning vocal performance of the blockbuster hit "When A Man Loves a Woman."

Michael's songs have been featured in film soundtracks, including the Oscar-nominated theme song "Go the Distance" from Walt Disney's blockbuster animation Hercules and the title song for the Russell Crowe film Fathers & Daughters.  Relevant to multiple generations, his songs are frequently heard on Idol, The Voice, Got Talent and X-Factor all around the world.

Bolton became a viral sensation in The Lonely Island's Emmy-nominated video, "Captain Jack Sparrow" that launched on Saturday Night Live and has racked up over a quarter billion views on YouTube. His TV cameos span hit shows such as Two and a Half Men, Glee, Fresh off the Boat, Last Week Tonight and Billions.

Known for his soulful voice and poignant lyrics, his timeless charm and good looks have also earned him a spot in several "People Magazine's Sexiest Man" issues, including "Sexiest Man Alive."

As an executive producer, he co-created and starred in the original Netflix show Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Valentine's Special, as well as The Celebrity Dating Game, ABC's musical spin on the beloved dating gameshow, ranking #1 in its primetime slot.

Michael is especially proud of the initiatives carried out by his own foundation, the The Michael Bolton Charities, which has been advocating on behalf of women and children at risk for more than 25 years.

In his autobiography, "The Soul of it All", Bolton states he is just teeing off on the back nine of his career.

    Left something to be desired

by A on 3/12/23Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

Michael was 15 minutes late and put on a 75 minute show (the ushers told me he was scheduled for 90). Of the 75, at least 10 was devoted to members of the band, which may have had more to offer. I heard what i wanted to hear, but something was missing. Not worth the price for floor seats, and next time, I will just work the show.

Some parts I loved, some parts I hated.....

by Teri on 3/12/23Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

I loved hearing him sing some of his hits and cover songs. His voice is still amazing and his banter with the crowd was funny. I loved when he held the mic out to the audience to sing a few lines. What I hated was him doing a duet, then him going offstage for a break not long into the concert and having one of his back up singers do 2 of his older songs. I didn't pay to hear some chick with a loud, annoying voice sing his hits!! My Mom's biggest disappointment was that he failed to sing his biggest hit "Soul Provider" at all! Even the encore (Lean on me) wasn't one of his hits. Also, the venue has no cup holder for the aisle seats and NO leg room so we kept having to completely stand up and move to let people by.. We were in B, section 105 seats 1 and 2. The chairs were good but the chairs down on the floor looked like convention chairs that were tied together and very cramped. I've seen Michael Bolton live a few times over the last 30 years but this will be my last time to see him live. Ticket prices were too high anyway.

    Bucket list performance!

by Christy on 3/12/23Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort - Las Vegas

I’m an 80s baby and grew up listening to tons of different genres, including Michael Bolton. The last two years, though, I really started listening to him more and genuinely enjoy his voice. I’ve been trying to see more artists that I like and when I saw Michael was coming to Vegas, I immediately bought tickets. No, seriously. Like, 22 seconds after I got the email alert, I bought my tickets. It was a long 3 month wait, but it was worth every minute!! Michael’s voice is still legendary and to my surprise, he’s an incredibly funny guy! If you have the chance to see him, I definitely recommend taking it!

    Amazing

    by Samantha on 2/16/23

Michael Bolton is amazing. He’s 69 years old and still performing on stage. His voice was just as it was 20 years ago. Yes he had a female sing a song of his and duet with him. And also the saxophonist played a solo. However, he was still “Michael Bolton”and I would love to see him again. Soul provider at the end=priceless.

    he can still sing, but.....

    by s. G. on 2/16/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

He can still sing!! The concert was very disappointing, though .It only lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes and that was with him going off stage and 2 songs were performed by other people,. I t was definitely not worth the $300( plus insurance, not sure if that was included in the $300) my son in law paid for the tickets!!!!! I feel we should get back a portion of the money or credit for the casino or restaurants. I doubt that i would ever recommend going to see his concert again. So very disappointing and we were really looking forward to it!!!!

    Three Stars Is Being Generous

by Warrior Poet on 2/14/23Hard Rock Cincinnati Ballroom - Cincinnati

I attended this concert with my wife who is a huge Michael Bolton fan. She loved it. Therefore, my mission was accomplished. However, in my opinion, the concert was a major disappointment. First, it was really short. I estimate no more than 1.5 hours. Second, we went there to hear Michael Bolton sing his songs. We didn’t go there to hear one of his backup singers sing one of his songs or hear his saxophonist play one of his own songs. Then, there’s the venue. My first time at the Hard Rock Casino. We had great seats and paid a lot of money for them. Then, we got to watch a large number of concert goers from the back dance down the aisle and stand at the front of the stage. Why was that permitted? It was absurd. Neither the venue nor the artist’s team should have allowed that nonsense to happen. This concert was my first and last concert at this venue as well as seeing Michael Bolton. Warrior Poet

    Bolton the man

by Cj on 2/14/23Hard Rock Cincinnati Ballroom - Cincinnati

Michael Bolton’s performance was amazing. Overall decent venue, but not real great seating as it does not have any elevated seats anywhere on the entire floor. Worth seeing though because of the legend Michael Bolton..who still has an amazing voice.

Great show. Venue could have been better

by Michael M on 2/14/23Hard Rock Cincinnati Ballroom - Cincinnati

Michael was great. Acoustics were not good for an event like this. Seating wqs terrible (flat floors). People coukd not see the stage because young drunk girls were rude and would not sit down. Security was called and did nothing. We did not pay $300 to watch the concert on a tv screen.

Great Performance/Show, Not a great venue

by Juggernaut1996 on 2/14/23Hard Rock Cincinnati Ballroom - Cincinnati

Michael Bolton was Great! He and his band played amazing. He sounded just like 1994! The Venue was not the greatest. All seats are on the same level in a grid and the chairs were basic restaurant style chairs with that were attached. You were almost sitting on top of each other. Even standing was not ideal as again, everyone was on the same level and the stage is not very high, so it is hard to see the further back you were.
