by espoc on 12/22/21Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - AventuraStephen Beus is an amazing virtuoso, but more than that, he is a real poet of the keyboard. All the pieces on the program are very rare to hear in concert, including the Medtner and Mendelssohn sonatas. The encores were thrilling as well

The Steinway leading. A live orchestra. And Mr. Cooper telling us stories that many of us probably ignored. What more? The only detail I would point out as not of my liking was amplification. I like it raw. Thank you.
