Miami HEAT History

Founded in 1988 as an expansion franchise, the Miami HEAT has since reigned as one of the NBA's premier organizations, laying claim to 16 Southeast Division titles, seven Eastern Conference titles, and three NBA Championships. After hiring renowned NBA coach Pat Riley in 1995, the team won its first Championship in 2006, led by Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Gary Payton. The HEAT then captured back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 behind their league-altering trio, “The Big Three,” headlined by Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh. Today, the HEAT continue to build on that legacy, with All-Stars Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro leading a new era of competitive excellence.

Game 3 Heat vs Charlotte! The energy was better than watching at the Sports Bar or from the living room couch. 100 section the best for your dollars!!! Once here you no longer want to go back to the 300 section, seriously.

  • Great to be BACK !!!

by yemita on 4/21/16AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Great to be back on the Playoff race! the WHOLE Team looks awesome! brilliant plays by Luol Deng, beautiful eurostep from Winslow, defense from Johnson, dunks from Whiteside and having Dorell Wright back! A joy to watch them play so flawlessly, and D-Wade as usual is the cherry on top! Couldn't have enjoy it more, it was a great family event for us that left all of us in the happiest of moods going back home!

  • Heat in the playoffs

    by 305Heat on 4/20/16AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Got Dewars Rail tickets for the first time to see Miami play Charlotte in game 1 of the playoffs on a Sunday afternoon. Great experience from beginning to end. Wonderful atmosphere coming into the AAA with band playing and nearly everyone wearing white. I've had seats that allowed access to Dewars clubhouse before but never rail seats. What a fun way to watch the game with a great buffet and beer and wine included with our Amex tickets. We had super friendly, knowledgeable and excited fans on one side who added to our experience. Heat won easily and everyone got to play. Pre game ceremony and pre and post game people watching made it worth arriving early and not rushing out at the end.

  • First Playoff Game!

by MandyyBabyy on 4/20/16AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

The games are always amazing! The seats were great. Once you sit in the 100s, there's no going back lol I only wish they had a halftime performance as they usually do, especially at a playoff game. But nonetheless, it was a great game with great seats for the price.

  • Awesome Game & Seats

  • Entertaining

by raoulvador on 4/11/16AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first nba game and first sports events in USA (I'm French and was on holiday). Nothing special to say about the match : it's nba, players are top level, some really good action here. The top thing I'll remember : Americans know how to entertain people : the play time itself is less than one hour, but during almost 3 hours, pre match, game, time out, etc, no pause and no dead time. Music, cheerleaders, camera filming the crowd, small video report during time out, everything is entertaining et make the time past like a bullet! I'm not a basketball guy especially, but I highly recommend nba games in Miami!

  • Awesome Game Between the Heat and the Bulls

    by sunflower1961 on 4/10/16AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

Had a great time with my grandnephew at the American Airlines Arena on April 7th, where we got to see the Heat beat the Bulls. The game was close for quite some time, but then the Heat took the lead in the 4th quarter and the arena went crazy. This was my first live game. The arena has it going on! From the energy of the fans in the arena to the staff, it was a splendid experience and one that I will never forgot. Kudos also to the Miami Police who directed traffic after the game so well, that you weren't stuck downtown for too long at all! This was terrific for me since we had about a 2 hour drive back home.

  • First NBA match. Worthy!

by RickyAlonso on 3/28/16AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 4 out of 5

I'm spanish, so my first trip to USA was my chance to see a real NBA match without a TV involved. It's a show: lights, sound, music, cheer leaders, shows between match parts... It's always entertaining. I saw Alley Oops, dunks, so many 3 pointers, cheer leaders... Nice! Great athletes as players, always offensive, not so much defense comparing to european basketball, but still tactical and beautiful. I found a bit ugly that only the local team is presented, and too much empahsize in making noise against the other team. I found it not so sportive. The stadium is a bit cold, too much air conditioned. Better wear long pants or a light jacket.

  • EXCELLENT! UNFORGETTABLE!!
