Miami HEAT History

Founded in 1988 as an expansion franchise, the Miami HEAT has since reigned as one of the NBA's premier organizations, laying claim to 16 Southeast Division titles, seven Eastern Conference titles, and three NBA Championships. After hiring renowned NBA coach Pat Riley in 1995, the team won its first Championship in 2006, led by Hall of Famers Shaquille O'Neal, Dwyane Wade, Alonzo Mourning, and Gary Payton. The HEAT then captured back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 behind their league-altering trio, “The Big Three,” headlined by Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh. Today, the HEAT continue to build on that legacy, with All-Stars Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro leading a new era of competitive excellence.

  • Security horrible

    by heat4life on 10/24/17AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 3 out of 5

It took forever to get into the game. They had several lines with ONE person in each line checking items brought in, (bags, hadbags, ect). There were THREE, yes three security personal standing behind each line watching, not helping. It took 3-5 minutes per person to get thru lines. 35 minutes for us. Really. Need a better system for the "illusion of Security".

  • It was freaking amazing.

by DdosD on 10/12/17AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

First time I'm on an NBA game and it was freaking amazing. It was a preaseason game, so it wasn't quite a sell-out crowd or as intense as a playoff game but definitely worth the money. The Arena itself is one of the best arenas around in the NBA and the experience of it... Definitely something I would recommend.

    by RaphaelOliveira10 on 3/7/17AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

It was an incredible night for me. For the first time, I was at AAA to watch a Miami Heat game. From the outset, upon entering the AAA, the front desk was excellent. Fun, happy and well educated staff. I won a bag and bought the Item of the game, to bring of memory to Brazil. The Heat played very well, started losing but soon prevailed and turned the game, finishing with almost 30 points ahead. Thank you, Miami Heat. What a fantastic night!

  • Good competition!

  • Seeing Miami Heat play in person is awesome!

by NJHeatFans on 1/31/17AmericanAirlines Arena - MiamiRating: 5 out of 5

We sat in the 300 level seats, center court. A little high up but still incredible view. Also, giant screen monitor above the court allowed us to see all the action up close. My whole family loved it! And as far as family entertainment goes, no one around where we were sitting was obnoxious or cursing. That's always a big plus when you have young kids. Lastly, we got to see the Heat win! It was their 7th in a row! Let's go Heat!
