METRONOMY IN CONCERT:
Blending slick, danceable funk and some of the brightest pop hooks to come out of Britain since the Beatles, Metronomy have found a well-deserved home with fans of floor-filling indie music. Known for their intricate choreography and creative use of stage lighting, the band never fails to deliver a nonstop dance party at their beloved live shows, bringing venues like Summit (Denver) to capacity. With a highly anticipated album dropping in early 2014, Metronomy will be bringing more energy than ever to their North American tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Hailing from Devon, England, Metronomy got its start in 1999 as the solo project of composer and singer Joseph Mount. After establishing a reputation with his remixes and energetic live shows, Mount assembled a backing band around the project, ultimately keeping the new members on full time. 2006 full-length debut Pip Paine (Pay the £5000 You Owe) led to even more remix work as the band prepped 2008 sophomore album Nights Out, their first to land on the UK Albums Chart. With the release of The English Riviera in 2011, the band received their best reviews yet, wowing critics with the perfect balance of experimentation and pop savvy experimental yet accessible pop savvy and setting expectations sky high for the 2014 release of fourth album Love Letters.

The vibe during this concert was awesome! With some artists it may be a hit or miss with songs that they perform that maybe I've never heard of but every song that the Metronomy played, whether I knew it or not, was an absolute hit!
I really enjoyed this event because they played on time and the show was very good and people danced and enjoyed themselves, I thought the show would continue until 11 p.m. but still loved the show so much every minute ♥
Awesome band with a great vibe. We waited a long time to see them again in LA. They interacted with the audience and made everyone feel special.
Great crowd, great venue. Far more rock-y than their recorded records in a good way. Super fun show.
The location had plenty of options for refreshments. The band, Metronomy had an awesome set. The acoustics were great even in the mezzanine area.
I’ve been a huge fan of metronomy for YEARS. They put on such an incredible performance, I was truly blown away. They gave so much energy in their show. The staff at varsity theater is definitely not the greatest sometimes though.
This was my first concert and it will be unforgettable! Bright Lights and Loud Music should be on everybody’s bucket list. Would love to see them again!

Metronomy is amazing, definitely a must see live. They played all my favorite songs and I now love them even more, if that is possible.
Absolutely the most fun I've had in a while! I could not stop moving, the band sounded great, and they were really warm towards the audience.
Metronomy was really good. Exactly what I expected. Awesome energy that the crowd was feeling, and cool stage decor. They sound really good live, and they have a pretty good repertoire of song that keep the energy flowing. For me Cloud Control took the price, music wise. I wish they have played longer. Their songs are incredibly good, I instantly became a fan. Looking forward to seeing them as a main act with all the props and stage space.
I had an amazing time at this concert! Metronomy was great, and their opening act was great too! You should look up Cloud Control. Paradise Rock Club really did a great job hosting this concert.
Amazing to see them live, they ares end better live. The only down side the sound was shit - shame on the sound guys at the Paradise Club.

One of the worst sounding shows I've ever heard. Three synthesizers and a synthesized bass player left the songs sounding hollow. I really enjoy the album English Riviera, so big credit to the producer for making them sound so good.
This was my fourth time seeing metronomy and they get better every single time. The audience was lovely as well.
metronomy put on an extremely well sounding & visually vibrant show.. the los angeles crowd finally didnt let me down and it was a cray dance party at the el rey.
