iLive are excited to announce the long-awaited return of legendary hip-hop duo Method Man & Redman on their Blackout Australian Tour. The two prolific rappers, who have also carved out massively successful solo careers, released their first collaborative album Blackout! in 1999 which earned the duo a cult following, and ten years later, followed up with Blackout! 2.
Both albums have become legendary hip-hop classics. The duo, who are known for their hype shows, start their Australian Tour in Adelaide on the 8th September, and travel to Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
It started out slow because we had to wait for the other acts open up for Red & Meth but Overall it was a great show. B-Real did his thing, and Red & Meth did not disappoint. Good Hip Hop, Great Energy, I'm in. Can't wait for them to come back to Columbus, Ohio!!!
Meth and Red definitely rocked it like it should have been rocked. Check them out when they come to your town!
First time for everything now i know when a rap concert st 8pm that the headliners wont be there till 12:00 pm, but otherwise 2 out of three of the home town groups where actually good, the Nice guys and The savage and The Killer. Next time I will have a car.
method man and redman killed it. good mix of new and old songs. they put on a really good show, ridiculous energy, everything they said was hilarious, method man even crowd surfed standing up. highly reccommended
opening acts sucks. stood inside and listened to dj's for 3 hour and still no method man and redman. i left a 11:30 and they still weren't out yet. it's very disrespectful to know you're playing at a venue with no seating, people paid money to come see you and you make them wait. if it was kanye west, or jay-z maybe i can begin to justify it. but let's get real.
I have seen them like 4 or 5 times now this show was SO fun..even though they were LATE (they are famous for that) it was all worth it. I love the venue as well and will def be back except for the high drink prices $29 for two henny on the rocks??? this is not south beach people!
Seriously, guys? 4 hours of openers? I could barely keep my eyes open by the time Meth and Red hit the stage. I really enjoy seeing these two perform together, but when the show doesn't start until midnight on a Tuesday, it's pretty hard to enjoy anything.
Great show. Redman & Methodman are still one of the best hiphop performers of all time.
