A little rushed and a lot pricey.
by Lazlow on 11/11/12Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - ColumbusI went to see Dethklok and Black Dahlia Murder. Apparently, TBDM was opening while everyone was in line for tickets, and as I'm used to shows always actually starting an hour after the doors open aqnd arrived as such, I wasn't expecting to miss the band I wanted to see the most, which was hugely disappointing. Who the hell puts TBDM first behind Machine Head and All that Remains? Dethklok was pretty good. The main focus was on the images on the screen behind Brendon Small and the rest of the band. The intermission bits were quite funny, but I would definitely recommend earplugs, as the bass was distorted a little too much. They played two encores. The venue was nice enough. Very clean and plenty of security who weren't dicks. Parking was very easy for about $5. Unlike Cincy, there were no homeless to be found, and no riff-raff either. I don't drink, so I can't comment on the price or quality of the alcohol. Bathrooms were clean as well. For the price though, I wish the show had been longer. It was over by 11:00, which was a little early for a Friday night show. I probably wouldn't go see Dethklok again, but since this is my second botched attempt to see TBDM, I will see them again.
