The female vocalist was awesome! Would have liked to have experienced more charasma in the audience and the musicians
Sorry that more people weren't at this event to enjoy it. The vocalists were first class as was the orchestra. It could've been louder though - would've added to the "oomph." Also distressing was the fact that since there was no intermission, it started late. Why not just push the start time back?
first, the show started 30 minutes late---and then only lasted one hour! at $50/ticket, this is incredibly disappointing. The singers did a nice job, but the sound system was not adquate and it was not loud enough. overall, very disappointing production and very expensive for what it was.
This musical rocks with outstanding vocals and music. It's both energetic and dramatic.
It was a nice way to kick off the Christmas season. The artists were great. I was disappointed by the turnout. I guess it should have been advertised more.
This was by far one of the best and most meaningful concerts I have ever attended. The music itself stands on it's own as classic Handel, but to bring it forward into the 21st century with a rock flair opens the door to a completely new younger audience who would never consider classical music as an acceptable music genre for their generation. The only issue I had sitting in the front row was sounds quality and volume. The seats were great with a clear view of the entire performance stage. However, the sound quality was not that good. Those there were small speakers on either side of the stage to cover the orchestra seating area, they were too small and not powerful enough to provide a quality sound performance for the people up front. The guitar solos were very in sound and volume and hard to hear over the volume of the orchestra. The theater speakers are designed for sending the sound out into the theater not for up close.
What a shame this event was not better advertised in our Raleigh community. This event was awesome and should have played to a full house! Both of the local choirs were wonderful and added a special touch to the event. As my 12 year old said, "I will never say Church music is boring again!" The beauty of the Messiah story amped up with some Rock 'n Roll. Worth the time and money!
Absolutely, a fantastic show! All performances were masterful. I have one criticism. As the show began, the high school choral performers circulated through the crowd, advising us that this is a Rock concert. We were encouraged to get into it, accordingly. Sing along, and enjoy. I would have enjoyed doing so, but the material was all new to me. Sing along to song I do not know? It is very difficult to pull that off. But, I participated at every opportunity that I could.
