Merrill’s last Concert in the USA

by Bren on 4/4/22Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

It was more than I thought it would be because this being his last Concert the money for the price of the ticket was worth to see. He sang some of those songs that goes back as fas the early 70’s up to three new songs he wrote himself just for his fans who attended. He called up his brother Donny to join in on the last song. That was very thoughtful of Donny to do this because he was so needed towards the end of the last song when he walked over towards Merrill to hold him tight below the chest so he could finish the song. They both had their eyes closed during the last few minutes of the song.

    It's Hard to Say Goodbye

by Merrillfan on 4/4/22Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

The end of an era, a true original, has left the building. Merrill Osmond, one of the four original Osmond Brothers, has played his bass for the last time. The lead singer with a voice made for rock n roll, began his rock career with the Osmond Brothers at this very hotel (the former Las Vegas Hilton) in the early 1970s with his brothers: Alan, Wayne, Jay and Donny. His two final shows at the Westgate Resort & Casino had the sold out audiences on their feet and was a true full circle moment for him. A trip down memory lane, the songs showcased Merrill's still strong vocals on hits such as One Bad Apple, Down By The Lazy River, Yo-Yo, Crazy Horses, Love Me For A Reason, The Proud One and the ground breaking rock opera album The Plan. Also heard were the Brother's signature song, He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother. A surprise guest on closing night, brother Donny, lent much needed moral support as Merrill was over whelmed with emotion during his final U.S. number. There were very few dry eyes in the crowd as we watched Merrill wave goodbye and treasure his last moments with those of us who have loved him over his sixty (60!) year career.

    Fantastic show

by Toni Dixon on 4/4/22Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

Merrill Osmond gave a wonderful and energetic show. He sang many of the Osmonds' hits, including some from the thought-provoking album the Plan. He also sang some new songs with beautiful melodies and catchy tunes! It was an emotional show as it was his last in the US before retiring from show business.

    Very Heartwarming concert

by Sydcher on 4/4/22Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino - Las Vegas

This was a retirement concert for Merrill Osmond. Everyone loved the concert and there were very enthusiastic fans. His children got up on the stage at one point and there were congratulations on film from many of his friends and family in the business. There was not a dry eye in the house by the time it was over. I would love to see him again if he comes out of retirement ever.

Merrill is the sweetest, kindest man who really appreciates and loves his fans. I am so blessed to have gone to his last U.S. performance, meet him and experience all the love in the room.
