    Menopause Out Loud! was steamy!!

by bestauntieofsix on 7/17/10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The energy of the actors was amazing. For 90 minutes, they sang, danced, talked, had wardrobe changes, and never missed a beat. It was exhausting just watching their energy. The show touched on so many areas of the menopause.

    Menopause Out Loud - Hilarious

by Reviewer58 on 6/24/10Myer Horowitz Theatre - Edmonton

Despite the fact that I was one of very few males that attended this show, I found it absolutely hilarious. Although I coudn't relate to the physical aspects that women experienced, as a male whose wife has gone through the "change", I have experienced the side effects that we males are subjected to and which were well portrayed in the play. The actors performed exceptionally well, all possessing great voices. And the change in lyrics to some of the great oldies were fantastic. The small initmate setting of the Horowitz theatre also added to the enjoyment of the show. Too bad for the men that more of us didn't attend. They missed a great show.

    High energy show!

by Oswen on 6/24/10Myer Horowitz Theatre - Edmonton

This high energy show captured every aspect of menopause, so my wife told me, by altering the words of many familiar songs. The audience, all middle aged females except for four token males including myself, were clearly familiar with the subject matter and found it to be highly amusing. I found the antics of the performers to be quite entertaining. The show was colorful, fast paced and the performers were extremely talented. My only complaint was the sound volume. It was too loud and that made it difficult to follow the obviously clever lyrics. I suspect this was particularly pronounced for patrons such as myself sitting in the side sections and in the line of fire of the speakers.
