Great lineup, great variety of music for everyone. There was almost too much music, I couldn't listen to everyone. Yes there was some mud, it wouldn't be Beale Street Music Festival without it.

Rating: 3 out of 5 Beale St. Music - Michael McDonald - Awesome!
by Eclectic82MusicLover on 5/3/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisOverall the festival was very good. Blues Traveler, B-52s, Micheal McDonald, Booker T and MGs were great! Halls and Oats were unfortunately cancelled abruptly due to the weather, but the 2 songs they did get to perform were GREAT! Word to the Wise: Not kid friendly - Nothing to do for kids who are not old enough to drink beer. Plastic rain boots suited to your personal taste seemed to be a "must have" due to the massive amount of mud on the ground because of the rain. No place to sit accept for ground (in the mud). No personal seats were allowed in the park. The FedEx Blues Tent was the only place with chairs and an overhead cover to shield you from the wet weather. Thanks to all the sponsors: Coke, Best Buy, Cellular One, Budweiser, FedEx, Sam's Town. Thanks to all the other great acts I did not get a chance to see. Memphis is a great place to visit! Great Food, Great Music!
Rating: 2 out of 5 A refund should be issued
by Anonymous on 5/3/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisA refund should be issued for Saturday. The entire day was basically canceled. I got to see 2 bands, but should have seen many. A partial refund should be issued.
Rating: 4 out of 5 tornado WARNINGS suck
by Mike413 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisThe whole concert was amazing. Since there were tornado warnings all day saturday, a bunch of the smaller bands got booted so that just meant we got to see puddle of mudd, seether, and alice in chains sooner. Well all of those except alice in chains. They were canceled because of a damn tornado "warning." The whole night there wasn't even a tornado. It was sooo stupid. I gave it 4 stars because we need to get something in return for alice in chains being canceled. The whole thing was absolutely awesome but waiting all that time to see alice in chains then they don't even play sucks.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Soggy, good time
by shanshine on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisGreat venue and well organized. Only average because of the weather. Saturday night cancelled and park evacuated due to tornado warning - missed some bands I really wanted to see, but overall a great time. Invest in a pancho & mud boots. Be ready to pay for parking unless you want to walk farther than you will already going up & Beale St. You will stand except for seating in the Blues Tent. Good food, moderately priced. Great mix of music. Beautiful park, lively environment, plenty of good people watching too!
Rating: 3 out of 5by Turbo2448 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - Memphis The Beale St. Music Festival is something to experience at least once. I really enjoyed myself while the music was playing. I'm not really one for big crowds so moving between stages and waiting for another band to come on one was horrible. I will attend this event again sometime but only if I have a big group with me.
Rating: 1 out of 5by bre31709 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - Memphis got there at 6 pm just to have a few beers and walk to the stage and they tell us to evacuate due to weather! tornado? i never seen the tornado, lol.. I wasted $100 so of course I'm upset ..
Rating: 4 out of 5 Gov't mule
by be47 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisThis is a great band they need more air play on the radio, so that more people would know about them.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Panic Friday night!
by hottytoddy2010 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisPanic played a great set (although it was short), and the weather held out just long enough with only a few short showers. Very laid back atmosphere and overall a good time!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Memphis is fun.
by nutmeglou on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisWhat a great festival. Remember to bring rain boots! Had a great time despite weather complications.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Driveby Truckers,,,Awesome
by klord on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisAll in all a great time had by all. Plenty of Great Music and lots of cold beer. Alice in chains was rained out but that is Memphis in May. Definetly going again next year. Oh yea who can forget Beale Street.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Alice In Chains cancelled at the last minute!!
by GrumpyBear on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisThis would have been a great festival but everyone was kicked out of the park just minutes before Alice in Chains were scheduled to play due to weather conditions. There's not much anyone could have done to prevent it but it sucked!!!
Rating: 4 out of 5 Seether rocked it!!!
by Memphischick on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisThe sound was good and the bands were great. The event needs a better evacutation plan. Next time more newer, young bands this event is more for the 20's age group and this years bands were more for the 50's age group.

Rating: 5 out of 5 mud fest 2010
by tntmal on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisLoved the event and music. The weather sucked big time.
Rating: 1 out of 5 Disappointing.
by riseabove2012 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisUsually, Music Fest is awesome--minus the mud. This year, some of the bands canceled, so the remaining bands were moved up. No one announced it, so I missed most of the bands I came to see! I was so upset! And then, they evacuated the entire park because of a tornado warning... Alice in Chains was canceled, and they're not rescheduling. I don't think I got my money's worth this year.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Rain
by UncleLee on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - MemphisAs always every year it seems to rain during the fest. So bring your Rain Coat! Alice in Chains did not get to play due to bad weather in the area, they closed the park, and my dream of seeing AIC was smashed. Poor Me!!! The Memphis in May fest is very fun, lots of food, and cool people. I recommend this event. Go have fun.
Rating: 3 out of 5 music fest was ok...
by jleigh38 on 5/2/10Tom Lee Park - Memphiswe got there about 6pm, just as yo gotti was performing....we also saw puddle of mudd and seether, which were all good shows...the rain held off through their 3 shows, however about 10pm an announcement was made that the park must be cleared due to weather(a tornado warning had been issued), which lead to the cancelling of the event for the event for the evening. therefore we were unable to see alice in chains which is the band we'd been waiting for and mainly the real reason we went. i know there is a disclaimer on the tickets saying rain or shine, and we would have stood out there in the rain, but i feel like some compensation should be available for ticket holders who waited all night just to see alice in chains then have the event be cancelled at the last moment.
