There were three Elvises: the young, wriggly one with a very good imitative voice, but did not look much like the young king; the peak-years Elvis, who looked and sounded just like the king!!!!! (this impersonator was worth the price of admission); then there was the saggy, baggy, old Elvis who, although had a good singing voice, neither looked nor sounded like the aging king. Thankfully, the middle Elvis came back on for another set and wowed the crowd! The back-up gals were very good, as was the band. All-in-all, it was a good show. I recommend it!
Michael Hoover and his band put on an awesome show! His voice is amazing and he put lots of energy into his show. Now I'm planning on going on his cruise in March 2021 as well. I hope he'll be playing again soon around this area.
My friend saw Elvis 3 times. It was her first time seeing Micheal Hoover- she said it he was an Elvis twin. The venue The Birchmere Alexandria Virginia is over rated . The food is over priced and nothing healthy. Just bar food. Our group was disappointed with the food. The show was super!
He gave a great show as always but I never seen the women go after him like they did that night. He was very nice and polite to everyone. The show was wonderful. I tables were too close together you couldn’t ‘t get through to the entertainer in which he was handing out scarfs like Elvis had done. Overall a great show. Love to see him come back sometime.
I was amazed at how many songs Steve Davis did. The stamina of his singing is incredible. His show is definitely worth seeing. However, production and opening acts not so much. The Quintet that started the show was terrible, out of tune and had no entertainment value. The girl doing Patsy Cline, was a very good singer, but sounded nothing like Patsy. Buddy Holly did well. The band was fantastic, especially that drummer. The biggest drawback that was totally a negative distraction was whoever was running the camera that shot the backdrop. My one year old grandson could have done better. It really was distracting and took away from the show.
This is the eighth or ninth time we have gone to see Memories of Elvis. You get an amazing amount of talent for a low price. Anyone who is an Elvis, Buddy Holly or Patsy Cline fan should go. I know we will be back again next year!
this show is a lot of fun. it is always a lot of fun no matter where you see them at. these guys and girls are good at doing buddy holly, patsy cline and elvis. you get lost in the show and find yourself doing a lot of clapping and dancing, and singing along.
Steve Davis and all entertainers put on a super show! They honor those they represent. Great voices!!! Their contributions to the community are blessings.
THe entire show was fantastic as usual. All the performers were great.
I took my Wife as we were celebrating out 10th wedding anniversary and she is a HUGE Elvis fan. We enjoyed the entire show from opening with Patsy Cline and Buddy Holly to capping it off with Elvis. Great venue, Great Time. Not overly crowded.....Nice!!!! Loved it and would go again tomorrow. Steve Davis ( Elvis ) even recognized our anniversary.
I think it really adds to the act when you have great stars as Buddy Holly, Patsy Cline and Memories of Elvis (Steve Davis), I really enjoyed the show it was my birthday and I have been an Elvis fan since I was 5.
Elvis was great as always !!!! Patsy and Buddy also very good. We have seen show many times, and it is time for Steve to drop DOO-OOP group. They are very stale and boring----time for a new opening act.
This is a program for all ages, young as well as old seemed to really enjoy themselves. Steve Davis should be given a big "thumbs up".
Awesome powerful show. Patsy Cline was great opening act followed by an energy filled Buddy Holly. As expected Steve Davis performance was electrifying and filled with tons of energy.
tight band good impersonations without being too cheesy, great show
Awesome event 3 year going . We loved it and will go again
Just saw Steve Davis' Elvis show last Saturday for the third time at the Pageant! Absolutely awesome! The first time, I just went along with friends as I never cared that much for Elvis (I am 68), but was blown away by Steve's performance. I enjoy him even more than the real Elvis! The Buddy Holly guy was so entertaining also. The show went much longer than two hours! You get more than your money's worth and the Pageant is a great place...not so huge and you can go down and dance or just sway along with Elvis on the floor right at the stage, which makes for a fun time. You won't be disappointed ever with Steve Davis!
Would recommend! Entertaining and fun. Elvis lives!
My wife and I both agreed this was the best Memories of Elvis & Buddy Holly performance we have seen, and have attended over 30 of his shows. Steve and Tommy are the best, they were so "fired up" Saturday and The Pageant is a super venue in which they perform, Bands and Dancers were so awesome too. Let me know ASAP when the tickets go on sale for the January 2013 performance.
