The show started three hours late. We waited on line in the heat outside of BB kings for over a hour. The performers used sound tracks. Melinie Fiona was the only one that sung a complete song and I most say she was in good voice. Petra was the worst. If Ms. Fiona keep taking part in shows like this she will kill her career.

It was the worst. They headlined Melanie Fiona and I expected to see more of her. They had a bunch of unknown artist there. I didn't think they would have so much jack artist there. & when MelAnie Fiona finally came out she sung 3 songs and left. Also the show was suppose to start at 10:30pm and they didn't let us in till 12:00am. If I knew it was not gonna be all about melanie fiona I wouldn't of attended. First and last time ill go to BB Kings.

Doors were scheduled to open that 10:00 and we did not enter B B Kings until way after 12 oclock. We were told that there were other shows earlier in the day but they need to a better job of not over booking. Many people had work the next day and did not expect the show to take so long to start. The performances and the music were great which did make up for it a bit

  • Huge Waste of Time

by HugeWasteofTime on 7/18/11Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 1 out of 5

the boston show was supposed to start at 8, and i've been to concerts/shows that run late, so i know it happens more often than not. but this was a whole different level of lateness. by 12:00am, the second of three opening acts was just beginning, and many people had to leaving due to access to public transportation ending soon, having to be up early the next morning, aching feet/backs (it was a standing room), etc. all in all, it was extremely hard to enjoy the acts with such a substantial delay, and i know i'm not the only audience member who feels as though their time and money was wasted.

  • Melanie was Awesome!

by sluggs on 5/31/11Kanawha Plaza - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Melanie in person and she was Awesome! Very connected with her audience and voice sounded great. She's a beautiful young lady with great sex appeal. I thought my husband was going to lose his mind! First time at Kanawha Plaza in Richmond and the venue was very relaxing, sound was fantastic, and I look forward to the next show there! Raheem DeVaughn was on the show as well and the two complimented each other! He was so soulful!

  • Fridays at Sunset Opening Night was Awesome!

Excellent performance by Chicken Greese, Melanie Fiona, and Raheem DeVaughn!

  • One Word AWESOME!

by babysylvie on 5/30/11Kanawha Plaza - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best show to open the Summer Concert Series of Fridays at Sunset. All of the Acts were on Time which was so important! Melanie Fiona did her thing and Raheem Devaughan had me on my feet from the beginning of his show to end. No need for auto tune for these Artists. Their voice was their instrument!

Melanie Fiona's voice, band, and performance was excellent in every way. Superlative! She held the audience in rapt attention and her music seemed to speak to those present who were her fans. Her band was very professional and skilled and complemented and represented her well. While Raheem DeVaughn was not bad, his performance was not as strong as his voice was pitchy, and the band did not seem as professional in their performance. Yes he was a crowd pleaser, but his performance seemed phoned in.

Melanie Fiona is a songstress and true rarity in todays unfortunate lack of incredible voices. Be sure to catch her show if you appreciate pure raw talent. Her vocals are amazing and she draws you in to the full emotion of each lyric whether ballad or up-tempo.

Melanie gives so much passion into her performances that you can't help but have a good time. She also brought a special guest on stage with her, for a little bit, & the crowd was up and dancing! By the end of the show, you'll be wanting more.

  • Melanie rocked 'da house

  • BET Music Matters with Marsha Ambrosious

by SWatts on 3/27/11South Side Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was off the hook!!!! I have never been to a concert and heard such awesome vocals. Marsha engaged the audience the entire time. You definately get your moneys worth with this concert. Melanie Fiona was awesome too but the headliner gave it her all and you could feel it. Would do it again and take more friends next time to experience a performance such as this!

  • BET MUSIC MATTERS TOUR WAS AMAZING!!!!

  • Melanie was great

by xcrunneralf on 3/19/11Southside music hall - dallasRating: 5 out of 5

Melanie was great! I am a big fan and Im happy to say she sounded better live than in the studio. If you dont like Melanie before her concert you will def. like her after. her voice was on point. her energy was great. She had a guy come to the stage and sang to him. I cant wait for her to come back. She is so underrated!

  • Awesome event....

by MoMo12345 on 3/19/11South Side Music Hall - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great. They had a comedian warm up the crowd but he really sucked. He didnt think about the type of audience that would be there and some of his material was offensive. Other than that Melanie Fiona was awesome and so was Marsha... we had standing general admission tickets but we were RIGHT at the side of the stage. I really had a good time.

  • marsha, marsha, marsha!

  • Marsha & Melanie made my night special.

by mrmateo on 3/18/11South Side Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I loved the show; Melanie shocked me. The material off her 1st ablum is only given justice when done live. Her vocals are amazing. Now Marsha was superb also. The way she even makes moans a complete work of art. I can't decribe Marsha segment as anything but herself. She came with what I expected(brillance) and delivered. It was a really good show I would recommend it to anyone who loves R&B and even the Neo-Soul junkie like myself. The venue only helped out more with it being so intimate.
